I picked this up when it was this price last month. Felt a bit too good to be true, and it sort of is. These tools definitely aren't the same tools/quality as the same Husky tools if purchased individually. The case doesn't lend a lot of confidence either (sometimes a tool or two will have dislodged from normal movement). Having said that, it still has a Husky lifetime warranty and is pretty decent for $35. I compared it to reasonably comparable offerings from Walmart and Harbor Freight and I'd say overall this one is the better choice, and yes, it should absolutely stand up to most homeowner use. At this price it seems like it would be an awesome gift for new homeowners who may want to handle a few things on their own.
you are right, it isn't like a regular husky level. every detail looks so cheap and actually not that great in quality. but worth $35 for new DIYer who doesn't have any tool set

While I agree this is not the best set to own if it's your only set, these are very handy to have as a second set to keep in an upstairs bedroom closet. It has pretty much all the basics and will prevent trips up and down stairs when you need a tape measure or set of pliers.

Almost all of these homemaker's tool sets are bottom of the barrel, but it's hard sell to convince people they'd be better off buying a $20 Denali bag from one of the Woot deals and going to Harbor Freight, Walmart, or Amazon and piecing a kit together for triple the cost.
There's not really anything a whole lot better that can be offered if a person says $35 is my budget for everything, so it's still a deal of sorts.

I have this. Not awesome quality but useable. Plus it fits in my truck on top of my socket set behind my passenger seat. So the convenience factor makes it worth it for me.....
I call bullshit. This never sold for 100.00 and worth 15.00 what a waste of time.

Just bought a couple of sets, one for each of my office location. I didn't need $100 fancy tool kit set, for once in awhile fixing doors and cabinets, and this was perfect. And just in time, as I have to fix something over this weekend. Every single one of my existing tool kit chipped or broke, and this was a perfect replacement. I was considering $25 hyper tough previous commenter noted, but with lifetime warranty.. why not. I doubt I'll ever use that warranty, but extra $20 for peace of mind.
