Not the same device. This is a monitor and NOT a TV. Look at the pictures of the back. I have this monitor and love it as you can display 4 separate devices at the same time. Ive had it for close to 3x years now. Code does work making it $400. I would buy it again.

I've used the predecessor of this monitor (LG 43UD79-B) since 2017. The USB-C supports DP-alt mode over Thunderbolt with the right cable. Monitor volume can also be controlled over USB-C/Thunderbolt on a Mac with add-on software that supports CEC… something like SoundSource or eqMac or soundflower, etc. Just a couple of tips for any Mac users that give this monitor a go.

Looks like a decent deal for a large productivity monitor with -60w USB-C. Shame it has such a low refresh rate and high response time.

Possibly YMMV but Ebay shows use coupon code SAVE20EXTRA to take 20% off bringing the total to 400.
Been using a cheap Hisense 43in TV as a monitor for years and love it. USB-C input and picture-in-picture are intriguing upgrades over a TV.

Panel of a TV with the controller of a monitor. Gives you USB-C, 4 input PBP, and smarter input detection and energy savings than a TV

So this model is 3+ years old? I briefly tried to use a 43" Hisense A6H 4k TV as a monitor but I wasn't too impressed with it. Per Rtings the Hisense A6H is their budget pick for a 43" 4K TV to be use as a monitor. I noticed a ton on swirl marks on any light colored content (almost looked like huge finger prints) but some call it the moire effect. When I googled the issue I found lots of folks had the same issue with that A6H in both the 43" and 50" sizes.

It looks like LG has a new 43" display that's called a smart monitor:

https://www.amazon.com/LG-43SQ700...1N7S5?th=1

I'm sure either one of these would work much better for me but they are at least 2x the cost of the 43" A6H I had purchased and returned. Not sure if I want to take another crack at the 43" size or just stick to using my trusty old 32" QHD HP 32 EnvySmilie
