Drives get stamp/marked Recertified , also gets a new label to what appeared to be from Seagate .
SMART data gets zero out..
They are louder than traditional drives.. worth the buy.. $10.50/ TB
Satisfaction Guarantee: Return for refund within 30 days of package reception date.
SO test the drive as soon as you get it..
I used the Seagate software that creates a bootable VM (tinycore) with the SeaTools GUI : Link

FWIW I've been running 12 of the 14TB models in my garage (105 - 32°F swing) for two years now with zero errors let alone drive failures. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe they're fine.
Any drive can have failures.. my last failure was a 5tb *western digital*
And yes, I had two other backups *cough, cough ~ seagate hdd
You clearly don't know what you are talking about. None of us care that the 1tb Seagate drive you loaded with pron in 2005 failed in 2018.
Actual data says their drives are fine.
" The 6TB Seagate (model: ST6000DX000) drive is the oldest in our fleet with an average age of 92.5 months. In 2021, it had an annualized failure rate (AFR) of just 0.11%, but has slipped a bit to 0.68% for 2022. A very respectable number any time, but especially after nearly eight years of duty."

Refurbished drives from any brand need to be tested and treated accordingly.
They last a long time

I second everything eversavage has mentioned. I was impressed with their packaging, shipping and speed. I have purchased 3 drives from them without issues. I use stablebit scanner to test all the drives before putting them into my pool. I have had zero issues and I will continue to use this company to slowly swap out my other smaller drives.
