This deal is only twenty-five dollars more than the spot price of gold. With four percent cashback, this will be one thousand eight hundred and ninety dollars per ounce, which is fifty-five dollars less than the current market price of gold.
Today's market Gold closing price is $1934. Usually, Bullion stores will charge anywhere between $50 to $125 fee to resell them at a market spot price of gold at the time of selling.

Couple factors to consider. If gold goes up in value, you are still looking that much price increase to breakeven. (Not considering 2% Costco rewards at the end of renewal year, 1 to 2% credit card points.) If gold goes down, you are holding $2K for a while. If you put that $2k in Gov Treasury Bond. Rates are in range of 4.70% to 5.05%. Secure - Backed by US Gov and Bond will not go down in a value as long you hold them untill maturity date.
Costco used to sell these gold bars for the same exact spot price a couple of months ago. for the last 3 to 4 deals, they have been up charging $35 to $40 over a spot price.
For the ignorant - why is this a deal?

Can I return this anytime if the price of gold goes down, or 90 days like laptops?

It's not a deal. Just regular price. Actually it's a whole world which requires research and provides you learning curve…

Don't buy it

Don't buy it. At your local shops prices is usually cheaper. Also, consider buy a coin, like Canadian maple leaf.

Only like 20 dollar over price of gold so that is a great deal. Usually 100 over spot.

With credit card as mode of payment along with cashback + free shipping this is very good price. Online price with cc on other stores is more than 2100. Local stores usually are cheap , but can't be cheaper than this price.
