I think most people want to know how good of a job it does compared to the Vitamix to see if they can get by with a $70 purchase vs over $300 purchase for their needs.
I bought one of these. Seems like a nice blender, has done well in liqufying things into hot sauce. I don't use my blender all that often so I'm not exactly in for vitamix money. No complaints.
I'm really confused by all of the comparisons between a 70 dollar ninja and literally any vitamix.

Do the 3 blades help with the top not getting stuck away from blades...

when I make smoothies with a bit much ice the blades might be spinning free but the mixture is suspended above due to ice thickness...

Own one - and this was the main reason I tried this brand out - was those top blades for smoothies - no more troubles with that.

I have a slightly different version of this (mine came with a food processor attachment as well), but everything else looks virtually the same. I will say that the smoothie maker does NOT crush blackberry seeds, but that said I haven't tried making a smoothie in the actual blender part though, as I only make single servings to take to work in the mornings.

Probably doesn't answer your question if you're looking at making smoothies in the blender and the not the smoothie cups. Smilie

That's what I thought... also I would not be looking forward to a lifetime of gingerly handling those blades when cleaning. And Ninjas only have a one-year warranty, whereas Vitamix models have at least a ~3-year warranty and most of them actually are 7 years or more.

Absolutely, the extra blades ensures no bits can escape! We've had the regular blender about 8 years and it works so good for crushing ice with those extra blades! We just bought a slightly smaller Ninja that uses the upside-down-blending cups and that sucker doesn't play either! Very happy with Ninja products so far! My sister has a Creami and their Air Fryer and raves about them too.

The blade thing is true, as awesome as those things are at chopping... Yo definitely have to be careful washing them haha. That's why we bought the smaller bullet-style one -Makes it more convenient to just rinse the blade cover under the sink (after making a shake) than having to play with the "tree of blades" for just a single serve smoothie lol. We use the big one for cooking and pool parties mostly now!
