I decided to jump on this. For anyone interested, this comes in the original box, however it will not be shrink-wrapped. The laptop, however, was wrapped in plastic as if it was new, and appears flawless. I had to call Apple and provide a photo of my receipt to initiate the manufacturer's warranty, including AppleCare+ (I have not added it yet).

Very satisfied so far; I needed the 32GB for VMs, remote work, Logic Pro, and just not having to worry as much about how much stuff is going on at once.

EDIT - The warranty information has populated in the Settings > General > About section. Limited warranty is 1 year, unlike the 90 days listed on the Microcenter website. Also says I have 61 days to add AppleCare+.

It really depends on your needs.
Space is pretty straight forward - 1TB or 512GB - do you need that extra space or not?
But I think the 16GB/10 Cores vs 32GB/8 Cores is where you have to decide. Frankly, I would go with the memory and 2 fewer cores, because I think memory has a bigger performance impact than 2 cores would, but others might want the extra cores over memory.

Can't speak to laptops, but I've bought several refurbished gpus/motherboards with no problem. As with anything this expensive id recommend getting their warranty. I've used it before and they gave me a credit for the amount I paid on a 3 year old product.
