I decided to jump on this. For anyone interested, this comes in the original box, however it will not be shrink-wrapped. The laptop, however, was wrapped in plastic as if it was new, and appears flawless. I had to call Apple and provide a photo of my receipt to initiate the manufacturer's warranty, including AppleCare+ (I have not added it yet).

Very satisfied so far; I needed the 32GB for VMs, remote work, Logic Pro, and just not having to worry as much about how much stuff is going on at once.

EDIT - The warranty information has populated in the Settings > General > About section. Limited warranty is 1 year, unlike the 90 days listed on the Microcenter website. Also says I have 61 days to add AppleCare+.

Bought it from Dallas 2 days ago. Incredible machine! Coming from 2015 MacBook Air, this thing is so powerful.

16.2" for not much more, although it is 16GB. I'd snag it if it were available near me.
I got this, thanks for posting. Mine was Apple refurbished.

Is 16GB/1TB, 10 core CPU better than this?
It's very debatable. Personally I'd take the 16GB/1TB 10 core CPU. Since it benchmarks a little over 20%. More memory can save you some swap writes to the SSD, but I think for average user 16gb is enough.

I was able to grab one last night, and yes they increased the price to $1399 but still a great deal. The unit came in the original Apple box sealed. Accessories were brand new and the laptop had all the plastic and film on it, looks brand new. Battery cycle count is 2. Was able to call Apple customer service and add the one year Apple warranty on it with the option for Apple Care. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this!

They lowered the 16/512 by $50 too so that's now going for $1,249

Check your local Best Buy for open boxes. May be very YMMV but I got an open box 16" m2 pro 16/512 for $1250. Had to do a double take but it was legit

Insane value for the 32gb version of this blazing fast, beautiful screen machine that cost $2400 at full MSRP.

Though it's a couple years old, it's not much different than the current gen version.

I bought one of these in Minneapolis a couple of days. It doesn't look like it's an Apple CPO and the Microcenter guys told me it was refurbished by another company.
It was in the original box wrapped like a new one with new accessories. Battery cycles count is at 2.
BUT Apple support didn't not give the 1 year warranty when I called to set the new purchase date Frown The rep said that their system doesn't show the S/N as the refurbished. 😭

Might be a case of HUCA. Mine was refurbished by "Diamond ", not Apple and it was even showing on the receipt. I still called, they asked to upload the receipt and a few minutes later my purchase date was updated. Btw, my battery count was also two as many others'. I think it's reset to two by their refurbishing process, unless someone has, say, 3 battery cycles...

Mine is Diamond refurbished as well. I'm going to try calling Apple support again and report back here.

Just picked up the last one from Tustin and it was also refurbished by Diamond, anyone know how reputable Diamond is vs Apple refurbished?

Called Apple support today the 2nd time and was able to get the purchase date updated and got the 1year warranty and now I can buy AppleCare Smilie
So, Diamond is a legitimate refurbishment and HUCA was definitely the case. Good luck to you all who got this great deal. Enjoy your new MacBooks! 😁

Diamond are legit. Check the cycle count, it should be at 2.
