One problem here is blanket comparison for the entire country. Market & chain prices can vary wildly even between different parts of the same state.

Another is that many parts of the country don't have access to the popularly ref'd big box grocery & warehouse chains like Costco & Sam's that always come up.

Count yourself lucky if you live somewhere you can smuggly best these deals all day any day. The rest of us have to catch whatever breaks we can get online.

For comparison, locally this is normally a $4.50-$5 bottle of honey at the more affordable stores. So thanks OP.

Do your research. At this price, it is not real honey but a mixture of many sugar content

Local honey is worth the price premium for the allergy benefits. Save your money elsewhere, most people don't use that much honey anyway so even at $10 a pound you're probably only looking at total cost of $20-$40 per year.

This isn't a deal

You can get honey cheaper every day at Sam's, and this price is cheaper than sale price at grocery stores

I have plus membership but this is one of those items I don't buy by the gallon so you can't really compare the price. Much like price of a 2lb bag of rice to a 25lb bag.

Last week picked up a 12 oz Gunter's honey bear for $2.99 at our local Shoprite store. The usual price is $3.99.

Does Sam's Club actually sell honey by the gallon?

I was referring to the dual 40oz bottles that are available everywhere

I imagine if Sam's actually did sell by the gallon, that'd be even cheaper....

Caramel colored corn syrup or maybe even cheaper bioeng high-fructose corn syrup.

review:
It is filtered thoroghly to act as a liquid sweetner, such as granulated sugar, corn syrup or stevia.
