One problem here is blanket comparison for the entire country. Market & chain prices can vary wildly even between different parts of the same state.
Another is that many parts of the country don't have access to the popularly ref'd big box grocery & warehouse chains like Costco & Sam's that always come up.
Count yourself lucky if you live somewhere you can smuggly best these deals all day any day. The rest of us have to catch whatever breaks we can get online.
For comparison, locally this is normally a $4.50-$5 bottle of honey at the more affordable stores. So thanks OP.
Local honey is worth the price premium for the allergy benefits. Save your money elsewhere, most people don't use that much honey anyway so even at $10 a pound you're probably only looking at total cost of $20-$40 per year.

There actually is plenty of research showing that the honey industry as a whole is not very well regulated. Honey sold like this at super markets has been tested and shows corn syrup in it, to cut the honey. But the flavor of honey is familiar and strong, so it goes unnnoticed.
But it saves a lot of money.
In the EU there is much more rigorous testing on honey, and they actually regulate and can weed out the fakes. The EU generally will not import honey from international sources.
Actually one of the reasons why I joined Costco is because they sell some of the best tasting and best priced honey. It's called Midwest unfiltered honey. Comes in a 3 pound container for around 12 bucks. Product of u.s.a. Their maple syrup is also great tasting and priced right

Have you tried the Organic Raw honey that's in bear bottles and is from Brazil? That is the wierdest tasting honey ever. Very thin too.

My costco doesn't have this. I got the kirkland raw honey and it's good but I wouldn't write home about it.

So 3 for $8.90. The reviews are good, real honey has crystallization vs the pancake/waffle corn syrup.
Only those with Prime saving 20% off with $50 spend. This you will be limited to the items listed for the 20% .
