Govee has the new version of its Govee H5043/H5058 WiFi Gateway + 4 Smart Water/Leak Sensor Alarms on sale for $52 with discount code SPLASH-CAD. It's cheaper than Amazon. Code BOOM work on various items too.

Thanks to member JFalc who shared the following:
"I believe some other differences between the new/old versions are that:
- Alexa/Google Assistant/IFTT are supported
- Range is way higher (197 ft vs. 1312 ft)
- Can connect via bluetooth
- Claims battery life has improved from 1 year to 2 years
- Can support up to 100 sensors instead of just 10"

They are pretty similar in size. I have both.

The gateway plus 4 sensors is $3.68, the 3 sensor add on kit is $0.12 and the 5 sensor add on kit is $7.24...less than Amazon at this moment.

Not as good of a deal as the recent one most of us missed, but...if you need now, probably best thing going.

I got this on the previous deal, sensors are great, actually caught a leak (yay!). Very loud sensor, but you can adjust the volume in this new revision.

For those intending to integrate with other home automation (rtl_433), the sensors are not supported. no timeline of if/when.

Do these also report temperature like the Orbit b-hyve flood sensors do?

I bought into that ecosystem a couple years ago and need just 1 more sensor, but they're too expensive to get just 1, so now I'm considering adopting a different one.

These sensors don't, but Govee has BT Thermometer/hygrometer sensors for around 10 bills, and WiFi units for 30

In what way are these "Alexa/Google Assistant/IFTT supported". Can I program one of my Alexa devices to annouce a water leak in a specific zone? Or, allow a routine to play if there's water (like flashing my room lights)?

Looking for something similar that is z-wave or zigbee, as the smarthings leak sensors are out of production.

Not a fan of wifi implementations on a 'manufactured, then never to be updated again' device

I am waiting for sensors like this to come out that are Matter over Thread.

I know that could be a while, but the multi-admin interoperability of Matter is important enough to me that I refuse to buy any more smart home products until it is available and confirmed to be working across ecosystems.

That's strange. I have more than 10 sensors on my current (old) system and it seems to work fine. Has caught many leaks over the years.

Right, apparently 10 is just a suggested limit. I only have 6 so far. I don't see any new features that I would need, especially since you can go a little over 10 sensors: The old ones seem fine for me.

10 is a fuzzy limit, not a hard one. Many factors probably go into it.
