As someone who scored 2 of this for $89/each brand new from AAFES a few months back, I would say at $130 it's still a great deal for folks who want a powerful portable party speaker now

I would just search Amazon for well reviewed ones. You don't need Audio recording quality, so I would target karaoke type ones, if that is what you have in mind.
I never searched but imagine there are some that may have light reverb or delay effects to add to your fun.
In my experience, you can never go wrong with JBL speakers.
I would get this for home use
JBL Wireless Two Microphone System with Dual-Channel Receiver, Black https://a.co/d/0fuRdol
And this for semi professional
Phenyx Pro Wireless Microphone System, Metal Wireless Mic Set with Case,Handheld Cordless Dynamic Microphones for Singing, Karaoke, Church, DJ, 2x30 UHF Adjustable Frequencies,200ft Range (PTU-52-2H) https://a.co/d/b22qp2f

not a deal esp for a refurb, 89 from aafes and 99 from walmart last time for brand new.
Aafes is not available for everyone and no longer that price. (I'm pretty sure this was a price mistake they meant to do $89 off and accidentally did $89 for the price.)
The Walmart price was the rare clearance deals that are hard to get.
Refurb direct from Harmon was a good price.
eBay offered me 10% off coupon for refurbished items so I ordered 2 at $117.
This is a great price if you don't need the microphone. I got this from wally brand new for $180 with microphones.
The model you got is actually different (not essential). With two wireless mics?
It has a larger battery. A few extra lights however it's missing some in/out ports I believe.
They have pros and cons to each. I think I tend to lean towards essential as it can be modified to add more batteries and a bit more flexibility on microphone options.

Looks like it is missing the mic port on mine, but both have the 3.5mm aux in port.
Depends on what you are looking for, but the JBL mic alone is $100 and requires a box to be plugged in the back that also needs to be charged.
I also have the JBL 310 with the $100 wireless mics I bought separately.
Yes, mine came with two really nice JBL mics that is already integrated. I prefer the one I bought, but to reach their own.

The best microphone isn't the best way to inquire.. The BEST will run you some cash.. but it looks like any Dynamic mic would work.

No experience, but this might be a super cheap mic you could use

At this price you can't go wrong for just fun night with a PartyBox.
