Hercules has a couple new products , one is corded, the other is battery powered. The normal price (starting price) seems pretty good to me, too. and harbor freght does stand by their products,especially Icon, Hercules and Bauer lines of tools (their first attempt at trying to up the quality on some their products

Reminds me of when I returned a clamp I bought from them. I was lightly clamping something down when suddenly the cast aluminum snapped in half. Lifetime warranty. Back I went. "Do you have the receipt?". I didn't. "We need proof before we can exchange it". I pointed out that a) The sticker on it says lifetime warranty, b) I am still alive. They said they aren't to accept returns even for lifetime warranty stuff without a receipt.

The line of tools couldn't have been more than a few years old by then, so it wasn't like I was trying to exchange some 67 year old tool I got from a garage sale for a quarter.

Lame.

The brushless version of this saw has a 5 year warranty. You'll probably need that receipt, but if you have an account they (or you) can look it up.

A lot of places only give the lifetime warranty to the original buyer. Probably specifically to avoid having a warranty on resold stuff.
As far as these bandsaws, consider that the Dewalt and Milwaukee bandsaws in this size go for $300 or more, so $130 is more like a week-long rental fee. If it lasts longer than that, you win!

Guess you havent hear their warranty for these hercules tools is now 5 years. And no thats not an extended warranty to buy it comes with it. Not that im getting any of it as im extremely invested in a different platform already. At least the cordless idk bout the corded

It's great if they can assure you of 5 years, but from here it sure looks like 90 days.

Click on the link for the cordless one ots right on the main picture. 5 year limited warranty. Probably printed on box of tool if i had to guess too. I jus know cuz multiple youtubers have made videos about it

What I posted is directly from the link above for the corded one. It's weird that they would offer 5 years on one but only 90 days on the other.

That's basically the mentality you have to have with HF tools. Do the cost/benefit. Several years ago I was finishing my basement and needed to drill 100+ holes in concrete for anchors. I could have borrowed a hammer SDS from a coworker, or even rented one, but in both cases I'd probably need to keep the unit for a few months as I worked only nights/weekends when I had the time. I decided to buy an SDS from HF, IIRC it was like $80 when the weekend rental @ HD was around $60. The unit lasted for that project and even more, before I killed it using it for a vibratory plate compactor.

TLDR, so long as you have reasonable expectations you shouldn't be disappointed in most HF items.
