Not sure what self-defense means.. this is UV-A band, old good "black light". It can cause cataract if overused. Good for tan. No disinfection. But self defense? Maybe throwing it 9nto opponent may work?

Have had the arkfeld for a while now. Fantastic edc light. Had a bit of panic when I thought I lost it. I bought another one to not be without. Ended up finding my lost one months later. Not even upset that I have 2, I love them both.

That Arkfeld is pretty sweet. But I'd look for a bundle with a headlamp. I use that the most.

They have a deal on a headlamp for 45. Or a package with a i1r 2 pro and headlamp for 52. Grabbed that last night, then got a free pocket light added on.
