The 86UQ8000AUB is $699.97 at the Costco near me for those that just want a large screen and don't need the extra HDMI ports or don't nitpick as much about picture quality.

This is a very entry level LED TV, would recommend to spend another $1000 and get a MINI-LED
Only another $1000?

You commonly recommend spending double on something to avoid getting the entry level?

Do these play nicely with Chromecast? Seems Android TV operating system is the best for that

A thousand? There are mini LED TVs in this price bracket. U6 and U7 have 75" or larger in this price range.

LG's OLEDs are some of the best TVs on the market. Their regular LEDs are awful. Especially the bigger you get. You always end up with clouding in the corners and they have terrible black uniformity, due to being an IPS panel. I had a regular LG before I got a C2 and it was trash. This is purely for people who care more about size than picture quality. There is no such thing as a good TV this large for this cheap.

Agreed. My oldest TV is a Panasonic GT25 Plasma. I refused to cheap out when I replaced it and made it a bedroom TV. I went with an LG OLED C8. Still loving both to this day. I cringe when watching TV's other places. Especially in a dark room. Ouch.

Aww man. That sucks. Mine is only 42", but it's perfect for the office/kids room. I actually prefer it to play older consoles like the switch, instead of it upscaling on a 4K screen.
