I've been keeping an eye on the mac studio at Costco and noticed it finally dropped in price. My local Costco (Meridian, ID) has 6 still in stock. Call ahead to verify.

Great deal. I have had a hard time deciding between m1 studio (found at my local Costco in Omaha for this price) and an m2 studio. I still have the m1 version unopened at home.

This is the deal I should've waited for instead of getting the M2 Mini for $1300 taxed from Apple edu store on launch day.

Could've had the M1 Max for $1400 if I just waited 9 months Frown

Snagged one today. If anyone is interested in the Bay Area, here's some info:
- The item has not showed up in a placard as shown by the OP. It is not easily searchable. The only way you can get info or buy it is by the SKU, which is shown in the OP image. So jot this down: SKU 1653879
- Availability: 5 in Reno. NV, 4 now in Fremont. There may be 1 in SF or not. That's it.

So if you want one, you need to grab one now. You can call to check availability with the SKU.

Call costco, give them the SKu and ask for availability around you. They can give you stock info of local stores.

If you want a simple desktop computer, go with a M2 mac mini for $600.

If you're a gamer: go with an x86 desktop.

If you're a software engineer or you do video editing, go with the studio.

Oh man, I got my m1 at Costco for $1500 about 2 months ago and still is within the 90-day return window. Just ordered M2 refurbed on Apple for $1700 thinking to return the M1. Going to call my local store to see if they have clearance price. Decisions decisions...

In the same boat as you are. FYI, Apple is now carrying refurbed M2 for $1700 base model. I ordered one from Apple and thinking of returning the M1 to Costco, but with this clearance price, tempting to return the M2.
