Paid about $20 more last month ($144 hacked) for my 7 1/4 fuel saw, and was wondering if I would enjoy this one more.... But reviews on this saws durabilty left me avoiding this, and go with the 7 1/4. I just recently took it out of the box, and although not as light as this one it did not disapoint.
I just checked, and It's still $144 (hacked) for the 7 1/4.
I have the 7 1/4 and durability is an issue for me. I am just a weekend woodworker, probably have done less on my saw in 3 years than a framer in 2 days. My trigger switch went bad to where I had to send it in. Luckily warranty covered it, but still frustrating especially when I wanted to use it maybe once a month. Browsing some forums others seemed to have a similar issue

trigger issue is caused by moisture from what I hear. If you can store it in a dry place.
I Just got this one a week ago, and just ordered that Grinder just for the 2 6aH battery just for this saw. In total, this saw cost me about 400 dollars.... Don't even know why they don't include a HO battery with it.
I'm in the M12 ecosystem and don't have a circular saw, my dad is in Ryobi and has one of their old weaker saws.
I'm about to renovate a shop building into a one bedroom apartment / small shop. Should i go for this deal or just make do with what we have already 😆
Having m12, I'm envious of the low prices of many Ryobi tools, but I've become a Milwaukee fan as everything of theirs that I own is rock solid.
The Ryobi stuff works but my dad's not a tool guy, he just has the intro package from years ago.

curious as to where you live. I hear humidity will cause these trigger issue. I'm in Cali, humidity isn't an issue but worried about the trigger issue.

North Texas. Not too crazy humid. Always stored in the garage and never used in the rain. I wonder if it built up enough corrosion since it was so lightly used.
Either way easily solved with a more appropriate material.
