If you have gamepass, you get it included. The game should be supported for another 3 years so plenty to do if you like base building, okayish zombie shooting, people management and Chat GPT stories

Even with gamepass it's worth buying to own (although I recommend waiting to see it it drops to 75%-85% off). The only issue with this game is that when you run into a feral that you couldn't see from a distance (or a screamer that calls ferals to you) your pretty much farked and dead on the hardest difficulty and it makes you wanna rage quit.

By far my favorite "zombie survival" game I've ever played. I have 250 hr in the game and still play it. The devs continue to add content with the latest addition being 1 week ago.

No clue why your response got a downvote. Despite being published by Microsoft and currently on Game Pass, this is, in my opinion, still a worthy title to own for the price. Games aren't necessarily guaranteed to remain available through the service nor does everyone subscribe to it.

Agreed, it's pretty fun. Just wish the base building and story towards the end (advanced anti-zombie tech) was a bit less linear.

I played the hell out of SoD1-- but for some reason 2 never clicked with me, only got a couple dozen hours in I think then just moved on to something else- not even sure why...

Just bought yesterday on Steam, after solving SoD1 Lifeline DLC earlier in the day. Hope it is as good as the 1st one.

With the exception of games with licensed soundtracks, this is a first party game and should remain on GP forever.
