Trust me when I say for my fellow lazy folks; you do not want white crocs. Got mine on a post from a couple of months back, and find myself having to clean them like every 2-3 wears. Guess that all depends on what environment you plan on using them (I assume office environments won't have to worry about this) but if you plan on being outdoors with these at all: avoid the white.

What about if I got them in 2009 and many times since, and I'm not 14?

I can't imagine anyone outside of nurses wearing these. I do here they're popular with nurses though. Comfortable for being on your feet and qualify as closed toe shoes.
Do you mean just the white variety?

are there any crocs that are sun resistant? Love their stuff, but sometimes I forget them outside and my crocs are ruined. Also hate that people are stealing my crocs......
I can't help you with the sun part, but as for the people, sounds like you just need to leave San Francisco/Chicago/NYC/St. Louis/Detroit/etc.

No they are not. Leave them outside in the hot sun for long periods of time (more than a few hours) and they WILL shrink.
I'm going to gamble with the white ones, I think the dark ones shrink too easily, my black and blue have shrunk, but red, not so much, which should be even more resistant.

Fwiw you can do the same thing to correct the shrinking. I took a heat gun to mine and stuffed them up with socks to stretch them out. They're back to where they were.
thanks, will try this out.

Just don't wear them to Slowjamistan. Crocs are illegal there.

Yeah, god forbid someone want to try something because every single person they know that owns a pair say they are super comfortable; even people that are on board with how dumb they look and understand why they were used in Idiocracy. But I'm a follower, I like AC, and electric refrigerator instead of an icebox, indoor plumbing and city water.

Make sure you didn't get fakes. I bought a pair sold and shipped by Amazon and they were counterfeits. I noticed when I got them the sealed plastic bag had been opened and I realized later that they were missing their paper hang tags. So, I returned them and told Amazon they were fakes on the return - but I'm pretty sure it wasn't an Amazon supplier issue, it was likely some jackass bought authentic Crocs from Amazon and then swapped out his counterfeit Crocs and returned them.

Oh, and one of the other reasons I knew they were fakes was because the footbed with those little raised "nubs" inside were just off - they actually felt uncomfortable. Just standing in them for a few minutes was uncomfortable. I ordered a separate pair from Amazon delivered two days later - and those had the hang tags on them and were extremely comfortable- none of the foot bed issues present in the other Crocs I received.
I can't speak about the nubs, but I can tell you that people often return stuff without the tags. In fact, I had returned a pair of Crocs to Amazon last year without the tags because I had lost them. As far as I know, they were genuine.

I'm using them for gardening so I don't care if they look dirty. In fact, white is preferable so that I can see bugs crawling up them onto my legs.

I wear Crocs at home. I also sometimes wear them at work when I need to be at the lab 12+ hours. I do medical research and these are pretty popular with the staff as well as some physicians, especially surgeons. So no, they're not just for nurses. I've seen the janitorial staff wearing them too. This particular model is good because we not allowed to wear open toe footwear (to protect from accidental needlesticks and chemical spills). These don't have the many ventilation holes of other models.

these good bc sometime you don't want the air holkes like if it rainy muddy etc. So I like no hole upper and the type with ventilation holes, for different weather and different times a year
Yeah, i hate the ventilation holes for gardening because soil, water and bugs invariably get in. I'm buying these just for gardening.

Like any white shoe, but they just wipe off with alcohol right?
A bleach-based cleanser (e.g Comet) or hydrogen peroxide usually works. As a bonus, they'll disinfect your Crocs too.

My dad has this same exact model for the same reason, gardening. He wanted a pair that didn't have holes in it and that's how we were introduced to this model and now everyone in my household has a pair (they regularly go on sale for only $13-22, usually via Amazon. I also like how they're not slippery on wet flat surfaces like the classic models were for me) So I'm sure my dad also wouldn't care if his were white…but they're black and mine ended up being the white ones, and just wanted to warn those who maybe wanted to be able to wear these both while shopping and outdoors doing yard work or something…that isn't going to be possible unless you're cleaning them very often. Going to get a pair of black or navy blue for myself as soon as they go on sale again, so I can just keep my white ones for getting dirty without a care.
