Thanks to Deal Hunter StrongWeather642 for finding this deal.
I would not suggest any rockland luggage if you use it more than once per year. I got the 4 piece set and multiple wheels and handles have broken in less than five years of use. It's a softside set, and on one of them the part of the case that attaches to the frame is ripping apart.
If you're going with a budget brand, I'd spend a little more for one of the with amazon basics branded ones. I haven't had any issues with mine >5 years old.
I saved a TON of money on luggage and baggage costs by being poor and never going on vacation. 🧐😂

$20 for 5 years sounds like a steal. I guarantee you an $80 Samsonite isn't going to last 20yrs.

Most of these problems happened before 5 years and I'm not comparing to samsonite, i'm comparing to Amazon basics which have been on sale for $40-50.
I have more confidence in Amazon Basics lasting 10-20 years than I do these ones lasting 3-5. Plus then you don't have to deal with a broken suitcase while you wait for another $20 deal on another Rockland.
Anybody have experience with Rockland Melbourne Hardside Expandable Spinner Wheel 2-Piece Luggage Set (20" / 28") ?
What I wanted to know is, will this set lasts at least one international trip?
Last thing anybody wants to bother is broken Luggage middle of the trip.
The 20 inch carry-on is a blessing for anyone traveling on budget european airlines with tight size restrictions (looking at you, Ryanair) who can't justify buying a higher-end case

Yes exactly. I was looking for a spinner that would fit the Ryanair size, and there are very few options right now especially in the USA Amazon store. There's a Tydecare care one that people say the handle brakes on it, there is an Amazon basics which people say is too small and there's a cabin Max, one which is double the price of what they sell in the UK. Any other alternatives you would recommend?

Yeah, the CabinMax looked perfect but I refused to pay the markup. My backup plan was to underpack a duffel. All it has to do is fit into the sizer (which is actually a little larger than RyanAir's luggage dimensions.)

I chatted with the US distributor and a Cabin Max Velocity is coming to USA in couple weeks that's expandable (already released in UK)....I'd buy that one now if it was available...but I'm not gonna pay $140 for something they sell in the UK for $55...scam! Rockland should do the job...i mean $25! Have you found any spinners that would fit ryanair's sizer?

They still have the 20" Rockland Vision Hardside Carry-on [woot.com] for $19.99 but those may be more for kids
