If you are buying oled TVs and relying on built in speakers, you should probably have your head examined.

77" A80K for 1499 is a crazy price. And there is not much difference from the A80L that just came out

The way the Sony performed with out a dedicated speaker was better than running LG oleds.

I have a C1 and ended up getting a Sonos arc. I got this Sony on the secondipity refurbished deal and was pretty impressed with picture and sound.

Is it Sony or Samsung that have garbage burn in protection? Or both?

Sony A80J 77" that I recently bought, has better built-in speakers than most $200 soundbars. This is probably one of the few exceptions.

The screen itself is the speaker. Pretty cool technology if you want to check it out. Wouldn't he surprised if A80CK has similar tech on it too.

Edit: This TV also has the 20W+20W+10W speakers that use actuators or something to make the screen vibrate making the screen into the speaker.

Pretty darn great speaker for one that comes with the TV. That said, any dedicated setup will be miles better.

As I understand the C line beats the Sony one in pretty much all the areas except maybe sound (not important if you use other speakers) & upscaling SD content (not sure if that's just the 2023 model).
The only area where the LG C series beats the SONY is in gaming. In terms of picture quality, the SONY beats the LG due to the better processor which handles up-scaling/motion handling/etc. much better than the LG. If gaming is your priority, get the LG. For movies, definitely go with the SONY.
