If you are buying oled TVs and relying on built in speakers, you should probably have your head examined.

77" A80K for 1499 is a crazy price. And there is not much difference from the A80L that just came out

Got last NIB my local Costco, was on sale for 1999, asked the manager to discount it and they took it down to 1750. Easy sale! Thanks SD.

Sony also uses google TV, which is above and beyond any streaming stick/TV software available in the market at this time.
I'm not a fan of the OS. We've got a cheaper Sony LCD TV with the Google TV or Android TV OS (not sure which), and the Netflix and "input" (lol) apps crash periodically and I have to reboot the TV before they start working again. Last night the OS itself seemed to crash and I had to unplug the power to recover. Stupid behavior for a TV. The UI is also laggy. Maybe they should splurge a bit and put a better SoC in these things.

Oh that's unfortunate, the Sony TVs, shields, google TV hardware is all really good, I'm not sure about the older tvs wuth cheaper processors. But the software is all open source and you can literally do anything you want on it

Sony TVs are very hard to use without a remote.

I don't understand. Why would you compare a >$1k TV to a $200 sound bar?

You are supposed to budget approximately equally between the TV and Audio system. $1k for TV, $1k for audio. Or if your budget is $1k total, a $500 TV and $500 audio system.
That's the dumbest that I've heard today. For being on a slickdeals site that's not very slick.

Most sound bars do a great job. I have a Bose soundbar that works with my 65" LG G2 OLED. I bought the soundbar for $500 and the TV for $2500. Your advice is so flawed.

Also some folks may be more particular with picture and others with sound quality.

Called 3 places near seattle that had in stock. Everywhere priced at 2499 on clearance. Anyone had luck in Washington state?

Got one 1499 - purchased the Allstate 99$ warranty for 5years. Not sure if warranty was worth it anyhow.

I literally just got the warranty for free 15 minutes ago on my warehouse. Did not even ask for it 🤔

How did that interaction go? Just when you checked out you asked, or you brought it up with customer service prior to being rung up?

There were 2 staff members moving tvs around and I asked them to help load it and that I've seen this on sal as low as 1500 at other costcos and asked if they could do better than 2k. Took the tag and left for a bit and came back with 1750 said best they could do. Fine by me, the cashier didn't even question it.

FYI, I called and asked this store for a price on these and they said 2500. So idk if it discounted to 2000 between now and then, or if the their system price does not always match floor price

Thank you SD!

Drove 5 hours round trip to a Costco yesterday morning. I called on the way there and they had 4 in stock. I asked if they could hold one for me and they refused.

Imagine my irritation when I get there and I find two set aside because they're "accounted for". Regardless, managed to grab the last NIB one for $1500.

They still had a demo model as of yesterday afternoon, which they were willing to let go for under $1500. Costco was Ukiah, CA.

Redding, CA also had around 11 of these for $1700 when i called Friday evening btw.
