Actually the opposite might be true. Fender had over a half million orders cancelled recently. Everyone bought guitars during lockdown and now everyone is back to work and not buying them anymore.

Might be seeing guitar prices plummet in the coming months.

Mine arrived Saturday (shipped from Guitar Center), and I returned to store today. It was clearly an open box item, not brand new: no anti-smudge plastic on the pickguard, visible wear on the strings up near the nut where people finger open chords. And you know how Fenders and Squiers usually come in a box within a box? This one was in half a box inside a box. I felt taken. I called Musician's Friend yesterday, and the guy basically told me that's what I should expect. No, actually, I expect more. If it's brand new, I want to be the first one to play it. That's how it works.

I use a battery powered headphone amp like this one for quite practice. This one is super cheap and has effects too. It sounds really good for the price!

Same thing happened to me. They said it is new being shipped from the store. Not in original packaging. When I asked further, I found out it is a floor display unit from one the Guitar Center Stores. I just cancelled and bought it from Sam Ash and received a brand new one straight from their warehouse.

Earlier I bought a used Schecter Omen 6 Extreme from them. They delivered to me an Omen 6 after I checked with Schecter directly to verify the guitar. I asked to return the guitar as they shipped me the wrong one and they wanted to charge me shipping for the return even though it was their fault of shipping me the wrong guitar. I had to fight with them through my credit card company to finally resolve it.

I had the same happen. Saying non original packaging but right in the email it said click here to cancel order. Yea I cancelled. Kind of bait and switch if you advertise it as new in box then send an email like that.

I have had the Positive Grid Spark Mini amp for over a year, and it is amazing. It sounds incredible (especially for its size), it's portable and easy, and the app is great. I play at least three times as much as before I had this amp. I can't recommend it enough.

Can these be returned to Guitar Center or would you need to ship the guitar back?

Sounds like this is a great deal if you actually get a new guitar, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to return this if store returns aren't possible.
