I agree. This is one of those games that tried too hard to tell an over complicated, over explained story. I played only the main entries and it still felt like I missed a lot of plot because I failed to play the other games (on DS, Vita, etc). There's a recap of sorts but the games came out so far in between I generally didn't care what was going on.

I agree. This is one of those games that tried too hard to tell an over complicated, over explained story. This is also what caused me to lose interest in the series. I also bought in to the beginning because it included Final Fantasy characters. When I found out that they were no longer a part of the series, I really didn't care anymore.

For all of the hardcore fans that hate this game's guts, it's a surprisingly fun time if you just choose the easiest difficulty and skip all the cutscenes.

Dang, this is a childhood game that I never got to finish (completed KH2 recently for the xth time) and was looking forward to wrapping this one up as well. Reviews don't seem encouraging...

They removed all connections to Final Fantasy (which was the whole reason the first game was a hit in the first place) and most of the worlds were Pixar this time (I guess that could be a plus for some people, but not me). Then you've got the story that has gotten absurdly convoluted and just went so far off the deep end.

That's good to hear. This was my introduction to the series and I thought they were all going to be like this one. The story is nearly incomprehensible. I guess I'll go ahead and check out the earlier ones now!
