I'm on the Magenta Max plan - the new plans are way more expensive for literally the same (or extrremely similar) benefits.
So I'm also on Magenta Max. I have 9 lines: four paid lines and five free lines (from various free lines promos) + Insider Hookup.

Twitter Rep told me that Go5G Plus would cost $5 more per month per paid line, so +$20/mo over what I pay now (which I think is $128/mo for service plan). So an extra $240 per year.

As far as I can see, the benefits I would get are:
1) 50GB of hotspot instead of 40GB (useful as I sometimes do run out on two lines)

2) maintain the ability to upgrade with the best trade in deals every 2 years on 9 lines.

Assuming we upgrade most of those lines regularly, getting the best promo trade in credits, that seems maybe not bad?

Very willing to be talked down from the ledge here. Am I crazy to consider changing?

Prior to the full take over of Sprint by T-Mobile, Sprint world have trade in deals that did not require any new line or port in, and changing of mobile plans. Any way for the OG Sprint customers to get this back? Maybe even call in?

As I understand it, you don't get the trade-in deals on the five free lines, you would only get it on the four paid lines

What price increase? Tell me you don't know without telling me you don't know.
What are you taking about? I know it is Friday, but prices steadily have increased from One Plan to Magenta to Go5g.

Oh, now I'm not so sure. I was pretty sure though that on the free lines you can't get the trade in perks… maybe someone can confirm one way or the other

There's no phone promo big enough to justify changing a legacy Tmobile plan to Go5G.
False. I had a 2 line one plus promo plan with 20% discount, at $80. I now have Go5g plus with 2 free lines for $130 a month. Subtract the Netflix that I'm already paying I'm at $118. So for $38 more per month I have two more lines at I can upgrade every 2 years. I just traded in an iPhone 11 pro for $1000 to get the iPhone 15 pro for $0. I been used Costco and got the $75 which covered the tax. $1000 / 24 months is $41 dollars. So yeah.. I'm spending more per month but basically for anyone who is already paying for Netflix and wants a new phone every 2 years. I'm actually paying less...

Way more, you mean like $5 or $10 more?

It was nice they promised me 2 years ago Magenta Max would be all I'd ever need to keep upgrading every 2 years. Then blam, they conveniently rollout Go5G plans that only get upgrades 6 months before new iPhone release.

I may be leaving TMobile, but I hate ATT with a passion...

I moved most of my verizon and t-mobile lines to ATT business premium BYOD.

https://www.att.com/smallbusiness.../?smb=true

what do you think?

Their top plan is currently $40 with 6 + lines, $15 after $25 off / line discount for 2 years.
And I somehow got another $5.00 off because I am in NJ. so its $10 + tax / fees. probably about 15 a line.

I will think about what to do in years.

Where do you see $15 per line?

I have the 55 plus plan. Magenta Max. Two phones for $ 90 month for unlimited, no ads, 2 screen Netflix, and Apple TV. If I converted, it would jump to $ 100 month. That's $ 120 year. I also have 2 cellular watches at $ 5 for the first, $ 2.50 for the second. ATT was $ 14.50 each after fees and taxes.

If I converted to the equivalent GO plan, my cost would increase by $ 10. I'd be ahead for 6 years.

I probably would convert if I needed a phone. Guess it depends on your plan.
