anybody have any idea how to apply for the $150 Costco Shop Card as I just submitted for the $250 Virtual Prepaid Visa card. I just ported over 3 lines and finished setting up all the phones. thanks!
I was told it was done automatically just by doing it in the system at Costco. Obviously I was dubious of this, but they had nothing for me to verify, so I'm just going to have to roll with it.

I was existing magenta max with 2 free lines and 3 paid lines the bill was $170. We had iPhone 12 iPhone 12pro and two iPhone XR. I left the fifth line equipment the same and upgraded with trade on the phones for 2x 15 pro max and 2x iPhone 15 plus. Going to 5G Plus increased my bill to $185 for the five lines. Got $1000 in bill credits over 24 months for the iPhone 12 Pro, $830 for the 12 and $400 a piece for the XR phones. We got $75 x 4 Costco shop cards coming as well they said it may take weeks to months to receive those.

Now I'm hunting for phone cases looking at Ghostek, Mous, Caudabe, and Casetify. I see screen protector deals but read the unique shape of screen on the 15's a good one to go with is TORRAS glass.
Q: how much is the price of pro max at Costco before and after trade in?

Pro max was $1200 + taxes, you pay the taxes up front, get an instant credit for the phone you trade. So I traded 12pro and I believe instant back was $290 and the balance of $710 is credited to the account over next 24 months as a bill credit. So total value of the 12pro over 24 months is $1000.

FYI they arent giving $1000 or $800 towards a new iphone anymore. Just called and they are only offering trade in value on the iphones and no additional discount on the iphone, just the $400 from Costco for switching.

I called just a bit ago and ordered three (3) new iPhone's. Rep told me that the current promo ends today but that who knows whether the next promo will be better or worse. My rep was 'Alex' and he was great - super friendly and sociable, but that resulted in an extra-long phone call/transaction. He was free-and-easy about giving me the insider promo (which he said was a "friends and family" promo which they only have about 4x/month to give out).

The Costco cash card redemptions are awful, the rebate teams have no idea how to help when a customer doesn't get their cash cards. I had to go back and forth with the rebates team to get credits applied instead of the Costco Shop cards

Its mainly due to the fact that rebate comes from costco and tmobile does distribute that one

Question: if I want 4lines on Go5gbplus and also buy home internet, i pay $150 or $185 before insider code + $30 for internet? I know third line is free for $150 with go5g plus. Pls advice asap. Plan to activate tomorrow morning at Costco. Thanks
4 lines will be 185 and with the hsi your total will be 215. And the insider with everything will in fact be 178

I'd like to switch from ATT using the switch and keep promo. As the 3rd line is free, can I do the iPhone 15 offer with a trade-in for the 3rd line alone and then transfer this new device to my first line?

Would this negate switch and keep promo? I don't have the need for 3rd line currently.

Thanks. Is that the 256GB version? Typically Costco prices are lower than Apple Store but not anymore !! ??

So another thing the rep told me last night was that I could use the T-Mobile gift card towards fully paying off the phone(s) early. I drilled into this a bit more, because my initial concern was that paying off a phone early might mean losing out on the monthly subsidy they're giving you (which they tie into the trade-in value), but he said that I'd still get whatever monthly subsidy they were giving me each month, and would just reduce my bill further.

I asked if paying it off early would also enable me to get it unlocked early, and he said that it would (but I'd probably need to stay with them for at least 90 days).

So, as I already suspected/deduced, this extra subsidy is just that, a 24-month subsidy in place to entice you to stay "locked in" with them, not that much different than the subsidies of old (which all of these carriers claimed was not good for their bottom line - but they're basically just doing it again now and calling it something different).

I'm still confused, and wished I'd asked about, whether there's a way to score that subsidy if you're *NOT* looking to trade in a phone. For example, their website claimed to be giving me $830 as a trade-in value for my wife's old iPhone XS, with the finer print indicating that she/we'd be getting an initial $80 (I believe my rep referred to this as the "fair market value"), with the remaining $750 spread out over 24 months in bill credits. Fair enough, but if they're really only valuing my trade-in at $80, shouldn't I also have the option of just bringing my old phone with me and getting the $750 over 24 months "subsidy"? There must be some other kick-back at play here with the phone manufacturers (e.g., Apple), such that it's to their benefit to get people upgraded to new phones (which won't cost us anything) vs letting us stick with our current phone (and getting that same monthly subsidy amount).

That new account deal is gone. T-Mobile is now only deducting the cost of the trade in towards a new Iphone 15/Pro, whereas before you were getting the 15 mostly free (after 24 bill credits) with trade in. This was in addition to the $400 per line switching to T-Mobile from ATT or Verizon kickback from Costco & T-Mobile

I just talked to TMO sales rep on the phone and checked the website. They are still offering $830 with credits for Go5G Plus and $1000 in credits for Go5G Next with trade in of any iPhone down to 11 series, at least for the 15 Pro Max.

They are also offering $200 in T-Mobile credits per line for porting a number and will reimburse you for any cancellation fees/phone balances when switching over and byod.

I'm trying to get an insider code for an additional 20% off, and if I do I'll leave Xfinity after four years.

If Costco TMO gives the same trade-in credits, then the Costco deal is obviously better, but it sounds like getting the cash card may not be guaranteed.

Does that include the 55 Plus plans?

I saw that the upgrade offer available on their website as well. I was curious since someone mentioned earlier that the customer service person told them it was only 830 max through costco. I'm wondering if its best to port over and then upgrade through the website or if the customer service rep didn't have the right info...

edit- the max trade off is only for the 5gGoNext, the Plus is no longer eligible for 1k trade in maximum. It caps at 830 now which is something to consider...
