Good deal. Starfield is great, it's going to be one of those games that are around for 10 years. Look forward to seeing what the mod community comes up with.
Starfield is on Gamepass which most Xbox consoles players have for multiplayer. Not good deal at MSRP for console. Rather see $149.99 Xbox Series S Verizon Deal again.

I'm 15 hours in to Starfield and I think I'm done. What a snooze fest and this is coming from a big Oblivion, FO4, and Skyrim fan.
It gets better the longer you play, but it's a very different experience than the Fallout and Skyrim games. The lack of a "world map" to explore really hurts the immersion. The other parts of the game are great but it's sucks having to basically fast travel everywhere.

Apparently there's a certain "problematic" demographic missing from among the Starfield NPCs. That demographic being identical to most of the game's target audience. It's puzzling

Definitely sounds like the ramblings of a "Grampy Joe."

GamePass…
Not needed for multiplayer…
But yeah, still not a good deal. Also boggles the mind they didn't go all out and make a special console like the old days… guess that's dead now though 😒

I keep hearing this and it's the only reason I've even lasted 15 hours, but I think the core gameplay and the irritating bugs are just not for me.
Combat is dull and unsatisfying, I can pretty much just run into a gunfight, unload a clip into an enemy, tank all the shots, and medpack when needed.
Somehow I got a bounty on me from the Freestar and even after I paid it, an NPC said "Oh, looks like you have a bounty on you. You should get that taken care of." Of course, I run all the way back to pay it but it shows I have no bounty on me.
An NPC ship starts firing at me so I defend myself and destroy it. My companions didn't like it. Would they rather us be blown up???
Lots of boring fetch quests which consist of running back and forth
There's a point in the main quest line where you unlock some stuff. To unlock it, you basically fly back and forth between points in space in a room, so dull and pointless.
Uninspired graphics with some awful facial modeling. The "dead eyes" meme is real.

Playing Starfield on Gamepass and figure most XBox players would go that route so as free game is sort of not really. Gamepass for XBox and PC is a great deal (same as Playstation Plus Extra tier for PSN) to play a ton of games. If you want XBox or Playstation, just purchase at cheapest price possible for the console.
Regarding Starfield, about 30 hours in and to me it "feels" a lot like Fallout 4 but also a bit like Mass Effect but is very boring overall. There are some good moments, but you never feel like you are exploring anything and it is just moving from instance to instance with questlines. Some have been really good (Crimson Fleet pirate questline is pretty decent), but others I wanted to gouge my eyes out and and was so pissed when I was done as it was so boring and dumb (Deimos Staryard quests).
A few bugs, but overall game has been stable on 12th gen I5 and 3070TI and get 50-60FPS at middle graphical settings. Some locations are amazingly detailed and great "feel" like Neon and the starting area New Atlantis feels like the Citadel to me in Mass Effect until you discover that there are elevators and the The Well city under New Atlantis which is pretty cool. Tons of potential, but again, you just feel like you go from instance to instance with no discovery. 8/10 for me, but respect those that like more and those that are not a fan.
