I swear, Humble Bundle haters have got to be some of the most spoiled brats online. Yes, the prices have gotten higher than they used to be, but the deals are still phenomenal. They also act like these are some obscure games just because it's not some popular AAA games in every bundle.

LPT for backloggers: sort your steam library by steam reviews and use howlongtobeat.com in combination to play through some amazing games in short amount of time. This is a great way to find some hidden gems for yourself.

How do you sort the library by reviews?

NM, think I got it: create a new collection, and *that* allows specifying sort order by reviews

You don't need to create a collection. You can sort the entire library. it's on the right side, not in the regular list on the left.

Ah, I see. Thanks. Yeah, it's more in the middle near "All Games (Number)". Has "Sort By" there. I was looking for it in the left column, where filter / collections are.

With creating a dynamic collection you can do specific filters for genres, but also including "unplayed." I just looked and I've played most of my top-reviewed titles already.

Tales from the Borderlands and Imposter Factory are two incredible games. Impostor Factory makes more sense if you've played To the Moon first though.

You're saying once you sort by reviews, manually look up each game in order on howlongtobeat.com to find out which good games are short. That's a good idea.

I work somewhat differently. I don't pay attention to new releases or gaming news. I do watch bundles at Humble and Fanatical (IndieGala has become mostly useless to me) as well as skim the PS4 and XB1 threads for weekly deals. If I see a particular game mentioned a lot, such as Starfield, Monster Hunter World, Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, Control, Outer Worlds, etc., I remember that.

Once my backlog got too big with several dozen unplayed AAA games, it no longer matters how good most bundles are. The last Humble Choice had a Tiny Tina game which I know is decent, but I'm never going to get around to playing that any time soon. As a big Dead Space series fan, I heard people talk about Callisto Protocol in those conversations and that's coming to PSN+ soon, so that might temporarily move to first priority over everything else solely because it's Dead-Space-like.

This is why I tend to pass on nice bundles of good games like this because they'll just go into my backlog. PSN and XBL have a slew of sub $1 games, probably all indie games. I just ignore them because there's too much junk to weed through to find the gems. I find skimming forums and seeing what people talk about helps find me the gems. Your sorting by reviews method is another way to do that.
