Truthear Zero Red if it's on sale. Retail is $55 but it's worth it if the big nozzle fits your ear canals.

Simgot EW200.

I also like Blon Z300 and Kiwi Ears Cadenza. Both are $30-$35 (under $30 on sale) but their sound quality is worth at least twice that much to me.

Tanchjim One DSP is good too and even cheaper.

Like I said, there is countless other options under $50 but those are my personal top picks.
Because these are an old, discontinued model that doesn't sell anymore and doesn't sound as good as countless modern Chi-fi (Chinese Hi-Fi) IEMs that are under $50.
Because MSRP overpriced.

If you've got a phone with only USBC/lightning, does the converter you use matter? I remember hearing something about DAC, but im clueless.
Yes it matters but if you're not an audiophile, have high end IEMs or headphones, and listening to high quality, well mastered music files, it won't matter at all.

You can just buy a decent dongle DAC/amp that connects to your phone's USB-C or Lightning port, then use the output of the dongle to connect to your IEM. More expensive dongle DAC/amps like the FiiO BTR7 also has Bluetooth so you don't need to use wires to connect to your phone.

I was thinking of picking up the kiwi ears cadenza myself...if i already have a truthear hexa do you think it's worth it?
Probably not. I like the Cadenza as a cheap, comfortable, lightweight throwaway pair of IEMs that I won't care about breaking or losing, but the Hexa is better (and over 2x the price).

In westone's defense, even if they are outpaced in raw sound quality per $ by chi fi these days I still go to mine for comfort and isolation. I can literally sleep with them on so I especially prefer my westones to any other earbuds, including my moondrop starfields, on a plane. I don't know the form factor of the options being posted here but westones sit "flat" against my inner ear. I have an older two driver version but I bet this one sounds great for 50 bucks.
This is my experience too. I've dabbled in a few chi-fi models, but none of them have been anywhere as comfortable as my Westone UM1 or Shure SE215. All the chi-fi IEMs are too heavy and bulky, and the nozzles are too wide and stubby to actually seat well in my ears.

Best chi-fi under 50 you'd recommend?
I've had a few pairs from KZ but haven't compared them to other Chi-fi brands. Their ZS10 Pro, in particular, are fantastic, in my uneducated opinion. I did what I always do and changed the tips to memory foam, and I find them to be quite comfortable.

They're around $50 from the usual places but are a little cheaper via Temu, if you aren't in a hurry and don't mind an adventure. Rolleyes

thanks for the reply. You seem pretty knowledgeable about audio. One more question if you know the answer:

How does something like this or the Chinese ones you mentioned compare to higher end Bluetooth buds? I use pixel buds A series right now, and just got a pair or galaxy buds 2 pro for $50 with a phone.

Im not an audiophile, but I have used some crap in the past that sounds like crap compared to what I have now.

Just did a flipped equalization listen with this earphone found in oratoy1990 autoeq results.
Listening from topping dx1 (sinad 117 db) on moondrop s8, It sounded like it has too much of a midrage. Bass and vocal sounded too soft. it was as if I am listening a reverb mix. Not too disappointed as w10 has 1 ba driver and s8 have 8.

Buds2 Pro is really good for a TWS IEM but the cheap Chi-fi IEMs I listed have better sound quality. If you're not an aspiring audiophile and don't want to mess with wires and dongles, just stick with the Buds2 Pro. No need to spend more money.

I don't know. I don't have other TWS IEMs, only the Buds2 Pro and AirPods Pro 2.
