I thought so too, but had to buy a new cable after trying unsuccessfully to use two different usb a to c adapters with CarPlay.

I guess some are missing the extra 3.0 wires. But it gets worse as 3.2 gen 10gbps depends on cable quality too.

Sidenote. These Dynex ones have all lasted a lot longer than the OEM Apple ones, which always seem to break right at where the cable connects to the plug with that soft piece of rubber.

thanks for the reply. i ordered the cables and tested it with my 15 pro max and a 5V/2.4A anker charger. this, along with every other USB-A to USB-C cable i've tested only charges the 15PM at 7.5W. must be an apple thing.
