I've had this printer for a week, first time into 3d printing. For a newb like me it's been a great experience. Wish I'd saved 40 bucks by waiting a week later though, lol

I ordered this as a bundle deal through the Creality website. Printer + spool of filament + filament dryer. Came out to about $240. It is out for delivery today. Hoping to have it setup and printing this evening.

I ordered weeks ago directly from Creality before this deal was available. When I ordered it was $199 for the printer + $25 for the spool and dryer + tax. Total $240 shipped.

This is a good deal if you don't need/want the filament or dryer.

Picked one up to get started with my son. Any recommendations for filament from you more experienced users?

I have an Ender 3, and I've always had good luck with:
  • Monoprice
  • Sunlu
  • Inland
  • eSun
Sometimes it's hit or miss though on each spool, not that they are terrible, I just get better bed adhesion with some colors/spools, but overall each one of those has worked well for me. That's usually my biggest issue when printing. I usually try to get PLA+, as I've had some PLA prints break. I'm by no means an expert and I'm sure others may have better suggestions.

thingiverse dot com is a great site for 3d models!

I have an Ender 3 Neo and have been printing a lot of stuff include parts to save a patio door to save myself ~$15K for complete replacement. It has worked like a champ with all kinds of filament I have thrown at it. Now I am struggling with the idea of upgrading to V3 as the vastly improved speed is a huge plus. Also debating on SE vs KE model https://store.creality.com/produc...3d-printer

Start with PLA. It's the cheapest and easiest to work with. PETG for things that needs to be stronger. ABS is more tricky so stay away unless you have to go there.

Thanks OP!
I ordered one on Monday, got it on Wednesday (socal, shipped from Riverside super quick) and been cranking out prints (4 so far), this printer is such a champ and the ABL and auto offset worked great, glad I didn't spend more to get a K1
