This is a great price but my cat refuses to pee on pellets. In fact he pissed on the floor in protest, that's how much he hated pellets. If he was fine with them I would've gotten this!

Cool. Got it for $19.74 after taxes. I had a $20 coupon for not ordering for a while. Seems they both stack!

I tried this and unfortunately my two cats were eating the pellets! Apparently that is not uncommon.

I liked the Breeze system for a while, but the prices for refills (pellets and pads are needed) just kept going up and up. Generic pads are available (not sure if much cheaper), but pellets were not (zeolite, made in Japan). I've since seen that they might be washable (1-2 times, in special salt bath or something) which would help. I switched to standard wood pellets ($7 for 40 lb at Tractor Supply!) and stacking box, the Breeze would not fit wood pellets (slots are too big, pad area below too small to hold dust).

Just use dry pinto beans.

This is very good to know that the pellets from tractor supply don't fit... hmmmm anyone have a solution?

*Edit oh wait, I've seen people use a totally different bottom tray since there's not enough room for sawdust waste using the built in one. Basically just a large plastic bin.

Wood pellets are good that they're too big right you don't want them falling through. They're supposed to fall through once they melt into sawdust upon contact with urine. I'm looking into this system but since I'll be using pine pellets...

It seems $40 for a litterbox with a sample of pellets I'm not going to use may NOT BE a slickdeal. Looking into alternatives... Cause all I really need is a plastic bin with slots/holes

I'd never be able to eat borracho beans again. :-)

That does sound interesting, though.

In for one. We have one cat that pees like a racehorse. Her kidney functions and bloodwork are good though. Knock wood.
Using the pads will help reduce the weight of the trash. I really ought to train her to use the toilet. As if she would be willing. Where is Jackson Galaxy when I need him?

We have 7 cats and 5 of the Breeze sets and they are worth the cost for us. If we were using almost any other kitty boxes they would either be more expensive or more work in the long run.

I'm wanting to switch to the tractor supply pine pellets....where did you find the stacking box?

I should have called it a sifting litter box (mine is Arm & Hammer at amazon.com/dp/B06XNX32K1). But it needs a mod to be awesome: Make 3-4 inch gap underneath top white sifting part (use some kind of spacer, see those reviews for ideas). Then just use scooper after cat business, push pellets around to let all wood dust fall below, full pellets remain on top.

Waiting for someone to make litterbox like this, without mods. It really is great. Once a week cleaning (one cat), just dump the bottom dust and add pellets to top. Easy, inexpensive, smells nice (pine), cat approves (may vary).

Reason I mention it here, is the sifting design is sort of close to Breeze system, which I used previously. But I could not make Breeze work with pine, due to slightly larger holes and smaller area underneath.
