Made in China. Having a hard time why anyone would pay $200+ for a China knife.
The screwdriver end is also a glass breaker ....
Yeah, no kidding. On top of the slim possibility you get the steel advertised, the heat treat is just as important and I have zero confidence in shenzen's ability to heat treat properly.
And that screwdriver bit on the other end is a special kind of stupid. Enjoy that digging into your thigh meat every time you sit down. Cripes.
Jeez... china-tastic brands only. None of the big US makers (or even US makers with china production) on that site at all. Wish I could thumb this one down twice. Once for crap product, once for crap retailer.
Artisan Cutlery may be a Chinese knife maker but they are absolutely NOT a bad (or cheap) knife maker. Their build quality is absolutely top-notch for the price point and as good or better than that of some US makers selling knives for much more. Artisan Cutlery is quite well regarded by knife enthusiasts.

Artisan is a very reputable brand. S35VN is also a quality steel and a good value at this price. I am 100 percent confident in the brand, seller, and that the knife would come with the steel as advertised. I own some of their products, and they are well thought in design and quality.
What about the metal analysis from Luv Them Knives? They have a few Artisan models and they passed and the spreadsheet even has a elemental breakdown. There's generalizations and there's lab tests.
