Rite Aid Deals 9/24/2023 - 9/30/2023

Technically I bought this yesterday, but I assume that thread will be dead now. This might be the most complicated series of messups I've ever dealt with at any drugstore.

I bought 4x Listerine. 1 @ $7.69, 3 @ $5.79 as part of a larger transaction. I was aiming to use the $15BC wyb $50, $12 BC wyb $24 of Listerine, and the $10 online rebate wyb $30 Listerine (https://www.earnrewards.com/aceyourcheckup/).

I had already gotten $9.50 credit by doing bonus tasks on the rebate website, so I only needed $20.50 of Listerine and I bought $25.06 which would be enough for both the rebate and the $12 BC. In total I was expecting to earn $41 BC ($12 Listerine, $15 basket, $14 other items)

The $15 wyb $50 BC coupon wouldn't scan. The manager came over and said he would take $15 off my basket to compensate. I said that was fine. But it turned out that he didn't take $15 off the basket, he took $5 off each of the $5.79 Listerines. I tried to explain that would mess up me getting the Listerine BC deals but I was with my partner, so decided to roll with it. When I saw the receipt and it said that I earned $35 in BC. I was expecting $26 if I didn't earn the $15 BC. The manager said that I should take that as a win so I left confused.

When I checked the app just after leaving, I saw that the reason the $15 BC deal didn't work was because it did work. The cashier must have scanned it fine the first time, and it beeped on every subsequent attempt without the computer explaining the BC had been applied. Additionally, I had $15.06 Listerine spend because 2 of the manager's $5 discounts did NOT count for BC tracking, but 1 of the manager's $5 discounts DID.

On the receipt, it only showed purchase prices of $7.69, $0.79 x 3 = $10.06, which when added to the $9.50 rebate credit I already had left me $10.44 short for the rebate. So I went to another RA and bought 1 Listerine for $10.99 which triggered both the second $6 BC and should have gotten me over the rebate threshold. But after submitting the receipt, they only gave me credit for 2 of the 3 $0.79 Listerines, leaving me 24 cents short of getting the $10 rebate. I'm concerned that reporting this to the rebate company will cause problems because they'd look more closely at this supposed $15 discount.

At this point I have no idea if I'm up or down. I got $15 extra from the manager discount, but I lost $10 from the rebate and I did have to essentially buy a 5th Listerine at full price. Also, the manager wouldn't let me redeem BC on my transaction, so on top of what I earned yesterday, I have another ~$30 BC to roll in the next couple of weeks.

At Walgreen's you can use any old booster that you find around, is that the same as the Rite Aid coupons that print out? They have a card number on them, does that mean that they work with that carad number ONLY?

Hey Kiki, there's a Caress deal this week bogo 50% and $10 BC wyb $20 limit 2. You also get a $2 cat for buying $20 of Caress. If it's out of stock on the shelf, I found some on an endcap with the St Ives. There are other items included in the deal but I think that the cat only prints wyb $20 of Caress. The price at my store was $7.29. The hot deal this week is 3 clearance Rimmel at 75% off and get $10 BC but not all stores carry Rimmel or have it on clearance so ymmv. There are also $2 L2C's for Rimmel. Nexxus is a good deal. It's $21.99 here and there's a $5 L2C and It's $10 BC wyb $20. It's pretty easy to put together a good 15/50 deal and it gets even better if you have x/xx cats to add to it. Dove is a killer deal if you haven't already maxed out.

Thank you! I saw what you said about Rimmel and actually added it to the Wiki. There is only one Rite Aid in my area (sort of close but not as easy to get to as CVS and Walgreens) but there are a bunch of them near some thrift stores I go to at the end of the week (Thursday or Friday). So I am starting to mentally put my deals together. Love the smell of Caress (I think my daughter does too because we go though it quickly).

Purchased one Colgate toothpaste got $14 back. Nexxus is S $20 get $10.

Which Caress do you like the most? If you can't find Rimmel, Sally Hansen hard as nails is an option as well as Covergirl with the $3 mq's. I'm doing 15/50 deals with $10 in cats so right there is half off of my $50. I'm having the biggest problem with finding a good deal for under $10. I'll be at $40 and need $10 more but I can't figure out anything. I forgot to say in the last post that Olay with the $5 dq is a fantastic deal if you do it with the 15/50 and cats.

Where were the CG coupons? Only insert ones I could find in my stash expired 9/9 (?).
I did get a $3 CRT from Red machine so used that today. Maybe coming this next weekend?
