Be aware that Aqueon tanks have terrible quality issues, specifically with the silicone seams at the edges. I think it's safe to use their ten gallon tanks - pressure is relatively low, and it's just ten gallons on the floor. But I've had several of their larger tanks fail and leak. Others report catastrophic failures, not just slow leaks. And inspecting some new Aqueon tanks, I've found voids, gaps, even one where the silicone just was missing alone the last few edges of one edge.

I love the price on their small tanks but stay away from anything larger than ten gallons. Maybe they've addressed the problem since, but I saw this from ~2021 up to a tank in store just a few months ago. EDIT: Or don't stay away, but inspect them closely in the parking lot.

It is always good to do a leak test first in yard with a water hose before setting up inside.

I feel like its situational that these leak because most people with leaks would be more inclined to write a negative review vs someone who's satisfied and don't care enough to write about it. So I'll write about it lol. I have a 10 gallon (5 years old), 50 gallon (4 years old), 75 gallon (2 years old), 60 gallon rimless (4 months), all aqueon and none have leaked. All are currently still in use and I have had zero issues. I also always bought them when they were $1 per gallon till now 50% off which happens at petco often. Just match it with a good enough stand so it stays level and you're good to go.

I've used these in saltwater aquariums for 10 years now. I've drilled overflow holes and return holes in their 40g breeders and 75g tanks as display tanks. I've used their 29 gallons, 20 gallons, and 40g breeders as sumps with self made baffles with cut window pane glass. All this with zero issues or leaks.

As pointed out always check silicone seams and a 24 hr leak test outside before use. But I'd also recommend that you use a leveler and make sure the stand is level before fully filling. Do this with the tank 1/5 filled to weigh it down. A lot of leaks or catastrophic failures occur due to unleveled stands because one side or seam has a disproportionate amount of pressure on that pane due to unleveled stands.

I have Aqueon 125 gallon 12 years old, 4 40 gallons that are 4 years old a 75 gallon 2 years old no problems. I had a 29 gallon 1-1/2 years old and it leaked. The footprint is very tall for the glass size had alot of bow. Aqueon warrantied it with a photo of receipt and leak point along with manufactured date sticker on the bottom. They only gave me what I paid and did not replace the aquarium. I got about $30 back and had to wait for dollar a gallon sake to replace again. Aqueon is messy silicone. I have a lot of money in fish housed in them. I prefer marineland with black silicone but they are hard to find without buying the kit. The larger tanks by Aqueon are built better than the smaller ones and I believe carry a longer warranty

I've never tried these as fish tanks but they make great affordable tanks for reptiles and amphibians. Going to be doing a leopard gecko habitat. Think I'll snag one.

I have a feeling most tanks sold at Petco/Petsmart are made in the same factory regardless of actual brand.

I have an interesting story - we bought a 75gal Marineland tank back in 2021 on sale at Petsmart (probably this deal - https://slickdeals.net/f/15513640-marineland-high-definition-led-75-gallon-tank-stand-aquarium-ensemble-249-99-as-low-as-159-80) and because of upcoming move I put it in a storage unit. Fast forward several months we filled it with water and it starts LEAKING really bad almost immediately, not just some minor drip, but rather a pretty fast leak soaking all carpet around.

I carefully checked it for cracks and other damage (especially knowing that I moved it first to the storage unit), but it was absolutely intact, no chips, no cracks, nothing, but a TERRIBLE sealing job - visible areas of missing silicone (not sure how I missed it in the store, I guess buying a tank at 8:55pm 5 minutes before the store close is not the brightest idea). Also the glass was visibly thinner than on my other 65gal!

Long story short, I found another Persmart almost 70 miles from me that HAD those exact tanks in stock, called them and they agreed to exchange it. Brought it there and they showed me several same tanks to choose from. To my surprise, despite having the same label, UPC and everything,
