This has pci express 5, 2280 m.2 and a 22110 m.2 storage expansion as well.

I have a ryzen b550 tuff gaming version of this, and it's quite the upgrade over last gen

I don't need it, but so tempted. I've been wanting to upgrade my PC for a while and have been looking for a decent price on a Ryzen 9.

Just to add onto this, it's a single pcie 5.0 m.2 slot, no full size pcie 5.0 x16 slot.

How does this compare to the Microcenter deal:

$599
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X,
ASUS B650E-F ROG Strix Gaming WiFi
G.Skill Flare X5 Series Kit 64GB DDR5-6000

For gaming it's a great deal, otherwise if you're building for something else — not really
I'm struggling to see what a typical consumer would need this for that it couldn't do really well.

I know we don't have a time machine but that bundle was $550 at MC before getting bumped up to $600.

Not sure if it'll go back to $550 but I don't like paying more for a bundle if it's been cheaper within the last few months.

Their Intel 13th gen bundle was $550 for about five months, went down to $500 recently, but last I checked, is back at $550. Perhaps the bundle price will fluctuate in your favor? That's all up to MC and your level of patience or need for a new PC Smilie

7800x3d outperforms this processor in gaming by 15+%, and it can be found on sale cheaper than this setup.
This setup doesn't really make a whole lot of sense if you are primarily building for gaming.

Yeah Ive been waiting for them to shake up their combo offer

This one's been available for months, which signals to me it's not really a deal.

I think the point is that if you aren't building a gaming rig then you don't need to spend this much as this is gross overkill for a web browser and email computer

In that case anything more than a $200 mini PC is gross overkill.

Considering there's no GPU on the planet barely capable of utilizing the gen 4 16x slot. I think the lack of a 5 slot isn't a big deal. We need to be seeing GPUs 2-3x more powerful than an rtx 4090 for that to be a factor

Not entirely wrong, though it may not be a fast machine. For the price of this package someone could pick up a complete PC build, minus the monitor (though possibly including one) and have a pretty good PC. I think this is what I paid for my prebuilt computer I use for SVG design, Cricut work, spreadsheet/Office work, and basic bitch browsing stuff.
