"Announced in March 2022, the iPad Air is now among the older iPads in Apple's lineup and it is likely at the end of its product cycle. Rumors suggest that a new iPad Air could come as soon as October 2023. This means that now not a good time to buy the iPad Air and most customers should wait for a new model to launch."
So, it's a great tablet, but unless you're going to use the Pencil or do some PC-type work on your Air, I'd stick with the regular iPad.

Is it worth losing out on warranty though. You essentially sacrificing a 25 bucks for and additional year of warranty or two if you use Citi Premier. It why I always buy electronics using Citi Premier. Saved me a couple thousand dollar from a defective iPhone that stopped working right after the warranty period.
Use Target 5% for shampoo, chips, etc.
Never ever ever for things where you might possibly need to seek action under a warranty. Or even valuable things that you might drop or lose or have stolen (hello, awesome AMEX protections!)

There is no m2 air yet
I couldn't justify spending $499 for only 64gb. I'll bite when it dips to $399 like last year.

Wait for the M10. I hear that one will be incredibly fast.

If interested in apple+
I just found out the $199 for total care warranty from Best Buy also includes apple care + for apple products bought from them…I didn't see a limit of how many items…
