My C1 has about 4400 hours on it, after roughly 18 months of usage. That's about 8 hours a day, so about 12,500 days or 34 years. Probably will upgrade before then.

how long can i expect an OLED to last? is a diff type of tv better for reliability? i'm currently watching a vizio 60 inch eseries from 2014, so i'm sure the quality of all the newer stuff will be really nice comparatively. not gaming, just tv.

I think some of the commenters may not understand that there is more to a TV than estimated panel life. My sony a80j just died before the 2 year mark. A quick Google search will show you the various problems with every brand and model of television. My particular TV has defective main board issues and it's widespread. The warranty was absolutely worth the $ despite however many thousands of hours the panel is supposed to last.

The G2 for 1359.99 or the C3 for 1499.99?

i have a 77in G2 and its amazing. Its in our living room and never have an issue with it not being bright enough. Movies are amazing on it.
just remember it does not have a stand and needs to be bought separately. Its a kind of tv that needs to be mounted. There is a stand but it is wobbly in it
