Bought 1 pack for my front porch Halloween lighting. They have several "lighting effect" modes like Candle, Party, Aurora, Volcano, Christmas etc. Used Volcano, looks great for the spooky season.

Ended up coming back to buy enough packs to retrofit my whole house. Feels great not having to use a hub to connect to the bulbs. GE also did and excellent job with their phone app, and has full compatibility with my Alexa system.

It appears as $14.91 for me on the website/app. Not a bad price to have it shipped if you have free shipping. Pay ab extra $2 than in store and you don't have to leave your house

I don't know if they MAYBE improved these, but C by GE, that they then renamed to Cyng, are by far the worst bulbs i have in my house.

They're fine... Until they're not. At least once every couple of weeks one of my 3 bulbs gives up and refuses to respond to my Google commands. Usually they're fine after switching off the physical switch for a few hours or a day, but it is incredibly frustrating.

I've had luck connecting them directly to cync app to update firmware then deleting them and connecting them directly to Google home. I had all kinds of problems connecting them to home through cync.

Yeah, I do connect mine directly to Google usually... Might have to update them though, I'll try that - cheers

These work amazing! I've had a lot of bulbs from different brands that disconnect, won't connect or have to reconnect. These haven't gone down once. Love them. They connect via Bluetooth and wifi depending on your location. If you're close, they'll Bluetooth instantly. If far or not home, obviously wifi.

My experience has been very good so far. All lights have always adjusted appropriately with Alexa voice commands. My only hangup was during setup when trying to connect the bulb that is furthest away from the router. Ended up having to set it up in a lamp close to the router then transplanting it to its proper socket.

How do you use it day to day? Voice command the lights at every room you go to? Or just set it on schedule to turn it on all the time?

They are most useful is for my front porch lights. They turn on to 50% at sunset and turn off at 3 AM.

I also have an Alexa routine set to raise the lights to 100% if any motion is detected from the Ring doorbell. Also, a side table lamp in my living room is raised to 100% to make it look like someone is inside. They both dim back to 50% after 10 minutes.

Other use cases are:
-"Alexa goodbye" - Turns off all indoor lights.
-"Alexa I'm home" - Turns on Living Room and Kitchen lights.
-"Alexa bedtime" - Turns off all lights except my side table reading light, that progressively dims to 0% after one hour.
-"Alexa going to bathroom" pathway and bathroom turn on to 10% so I don't run into things at night
-Bedroom lights progressively raise to 100% 1 hour prior to my alarm in the AM
-"Alexa TV lighting" Turns off all living room lights that create a reflection on my TV.

There are more, but you will find your own personal uses for them. It's one of those things that you didn't know you needed until you have them.

Ah ok, so it is voice command and then some schedules and some tasks. Thanks for the explanation. I'd probably pick up a few for some strategic uses.

Hopefully Phillips will eventually realize that, in comparison, their Hue bulbs are horrifically overpriced and make them more reasonable. I've got some Hue bulbs but, if I were a Sam's Club member, I'd be on these in a second!

Yeah Phillips still has that "First to Market" price... It might be worth it to just get a membership if you want to outfit your whole house! I believe it's currently $25/year.

I couldn't get these to integrate with Home Assistant, but they are working fine so far with Alexa
