Woot! has Pokemon Brilliant Diamond (Nintendo Switch, European Version) for $29.99. Shipping is free w/ Amazon Prime or is otherwise a flat $6 per order.

Thanks to Community Member FC3SRedSuns for finding this deal.

Notes:
  • European Version will NOT affect gameplay in the United States. The European version simply uses a different rating system (known as PEGI) to distinguish which age groups are eligible for gameplay. (The U.S. uses ESRB. That's the only difference).
  • Limit 3 per customer. If you're a Prime member and you don't see free shipping on the order page, look for a "Use this address" button and tap/click that. The order page will finish loading and shipping will update.
Features:
  • Adventures in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will take place in the Sinnoh region. Rich in nature and with towering Mount Coronet at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. You'll visit many different locations in the Sinnoh region, while striving to become the Champion of the Pokémon League.
  • The original story has been faithfully reproduced, and the sense of scale in the originals' towns and routes has been carefully preserved. People who played Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl can revisit familiar places and relive familiar scenes once more. For those setting out through Sinnoh for the first time, plenty of new encounters and surprises await.
  • These remakes include easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences of the modern Pokémon series, plus up-close-and-personal Pokémon battle scenes.

Yes. All the versions are pretty much the same. I bought the Italian Dual-pack when this launched because it included a steelbook case. When the game boots up, it offers all the available language choices for all regions to play in, so you can choose English and play like normal. The Pokémon will also register as your console region instead of the cartridge region.

Top banter, that.

Would love to have Ash tell Gary to wind his neck in during E4 in Gen 1 on GBA.

No brainer for my daughter that devours anything Pokémon. Doesn't matter that it's just a remake of one of the old games. She's been playing through FireRed on my old Gameboy Advance lately, so she'll take everything

Masterpiece.
Gen 1 GBA remakes are the best Pokemon games of all time.

Play Shining Pearl, steamrolled the whole game until I got to the Elite 4. Won't spoil anything but just be prepared.

As an aside, they did remove the GPS trading system that was in the original, so you'd have to download the Pokemon HOME app from the Nintendo Store (free to use; can pay for more storage space and some other features) to transfer your Pokemon to be able to trade.

To my knowledge the nintendo switch lite isn't region locked so you should be fine.
