You can if you ask nicely. No one should care.

I was a waiter there long ago and I used to place multiple "refills" before the check would come and pack them up to go depending on the customer. Particularly college kids - I knew money was tight, being one myself at the time, and a bunch of leftovers would change my week quite a bit. That and they paid me like $3.50/hr. Darden restaurant bottom line was the least of my concerns.

No worries if you don't like this restaurant (I'm personally not the biggest fan) but please don't bash it too much as it's my 9 year old son's favorite place, so I'm sure there are many other OG lovers out there too... both kids and adults alike

Happy eating!

Nope the Pasta Pass has always coincided with the NEPB. Hopefully they bring it back next year. I had the Pasta Pass a few times and had a lot of fun with it. I blogged about it at SuperCarbMe.com
Yeah, I'd love to see the pasta pass come back again. I actually did it one year when I was doing Keto. Having eaten a lot of fast food, most of my go-to places were out of the picture on that. So I got the pasta pass and looked up what would work. I'd have the salad or certain soups and then get something like spaghetti with meatballs or chicken Alfredo, but always "hold the pasta". So basically, just the meat toppings that were included with the pass (and a few refills since they were small). I'd usually sit at the bar, where refills were pretty quick. I went several times a week, so I more than got my money's worth without ever feeling the need to pig out.

I got the 3 month pass one year. I've been back once or twice in the 5 years since then. I used that sucker a lot and got burned out.

Golden Corral full lunch - delicious in my location with soup and dessert 11.99. 14 $ for pasta is a joke
Golden Corral as an example of "delicious" scares me. Seek therapy.

Since people want to bring up the tipping debate, I'll break down my thoughts. I do tip, before anyone gets their panties in a bunch. BUT, it isn't the customer's responsibility to pay the restaurant's employees. They are employees of the restaurant and the restaurant is responsible for paying them. Raise the prices by 15% and make servers "commissioned sales people" who get 15% of the check, but dammit, the employer is the one who should be solely responsible for the pay of the employees.

I never tipped for pickup before the COVID pandemic, but started during the pandemic just to help keep my favorite restaurants going when dine-in wasn't allowed. In my opinion it's the restaurant's job to pay the cooks in the kitchen, not mine, and I'm already paying for that in the price of the meal, so I shouldn't need to tip for take-out. Tips are for the wait staff's service, and since most restaurants in this country count tips as part of the wait staff's pay, I'm willing to tip when I dine-in.
Yep, I feel exactly the same way. And as much as I'm not a fan of the tipping method of paying people, I actually don't mind it in that specific instance of full-service dining. Because you can tend to get slackers in hourly jobs, whereas the real slackers aren't usually going to get great tips and tend to find jobs elsewhere. Obviously, there are still going to be some not-so-great servers out there, but I feel like that at least helps keep it in check to some extent. People may say "well just pay them a regular hourly wage and fire them if they don't do well" but let's face it … firing employees can be a pain from an employer's perspective and the idea that bad employees will want to leave on their own because they won't get good tips has a certain appeal to it.

But yeah, the whole idea of tipping fast food employees and others who actually make a regular hourly wage has gotten kind of crazy these days. It was a nice token of appreciation during the pandemic, but it shouldn't become the norm.

I love their salad...I tried to do their copycat dressing and even the little mayo it says u need, it just throws the flavor way off
They sell the branded dressing at Costco. Two huge bottles, I can't remember the price but reasonably priced.

It's been 25 years since I've had endless pasta at Olive Garden, but each subsequent plate of pasta got increasingly smaller. I guess if I have any advice, get the one you want most, first. I can't imagine with the economy it's gotten any better. In fact, there are probably other tricks they've implemented into this deal I'm unaware of.
As hilarious a concept as "increasingly smaller" would be, every 'refill' is the same size, essentially a half-portion.

Any issue you have with this deal is store specific, the one I go to is great about refills. They even take your next order when delivering one. The want to turn the table over faster, not slow roll your refills.
