Australia, where Bluey takes place, is located in the southern hemisphere and celebrates Christmas also on Dec 25, which is during their summer (weather equivalent to June 25 in the northern hemisphere). There is no snow and winter and all things associated with northern hemisphere Christmas for them. Hence the comment "winter holiday" since that's what the imagery evokes (there is snow falling and a snowman and scarf in the review photos). They would have to wait til July for those things.
TLDR Australians go to the beach and bbq in December/Christmas. They go skiing in July.
