Edit: Not a wood handle because this is the "classic Ikon" as someone else mentioned and is a hybrid between the two.

Knives aren't disposable...they're not razor blades. They require maintenance. The quality of the steel used, the method of construction, and your cutting technique all determine how long it will stay sharp.
Save your money for a nice $200 8" chefs knife, this thing should be dead last on your list of knives to get.
Here are the knives worth investing in:
1. 6-8 inch chef's knife (depending on your hand size)
2. 3-4 inch paring knife
3. 5-7 inch boning knife (for butchering poultry and smaller cuts). Also fileting fish and chicken.
4. scimitar (for breaking down large beef cuts)
I don't even recommend a "bread knife" because you can better cut bread with your chef's knife if you keep it sharp, and that's a good reminder to pay attention to your knives.

I don't bake any bread or buy many unsliced loaves so it's not important for me but I did pick up on a 7" scalloped serrated Shun Kaji knife for $99 during their factory-seconds/blemish sale to fill the niche of a tomato/fruit/bread knife

I've tried a ton of serrated knives and the difference between the premium ones and the ones you buy at Walmart is the amount of flex. My Henckels has no give so you can lean into it as hard as you need to and still get a clean and even cut. I can even push down on it for the bottom crust.
Amazing for the meats as well. If you cook with lower quality meats or make beef jerky, this will cut through any kind of tissue and won't mind if you hit a bone. Your normal German chief's knife will usually dull from this action and your Japanese one may even chip, but this one just keeps on cutting. A really good buy for anyone who is not sharpening their knives religiously.
You can buy a $20 pull through wheel sharpener for serrated knifes.

Older make with the "200 years of knives" labelling (2018) that came before their current rebrand and engraving redesign.
Wasn't in retail packaging but instead in a generic whitebox sealed by Wusthof themselves. Inside the knife was simply sheathed in a cardboard sleeve like those purchased in sets. Think the catch for the good price is they're singles out of sets sold in non-retail packaging.
