This is a really good price, but you have to pay $9 extra if you want the car adapter[ebay.com]for whatever reason.
Kind of annoying since the DC5521 is different from the plug my jackery uses, and also it doesn't accept USB-C input.
The lack of usbc for charging is a big deal, since now everything uses it.
thanks.
this would be used occasionally during a power outage for a light and radio. i probably would just plug it into the wall to charge, and it tends to stay charged all year long.

OK, one thing that isn't clear is the charge limit. I bought another brand (Tenergy) and its annoying that its max charging is ~50W so even hooking up a solar panel doubles the charge time. Its more of an issue when camping when you might have limited time at a power source to recharge your devices or using solar panels. Some also don't have passthrough feature of being able to charge and pass power onto plugged in devices.
Not much info on the product page, maybe someone else can find out that sort of info...

Most of the owners manuals say that you should cycle the battery every few months, probably shouldn't leave it plugged in permanently.

true. when done charging Anything, it should be unplugged. that way any charging issues don't show up at an less than opportune time. over charging lap tops and batteries used to be common. most things should be full charge in hours or at least a day.

is this about the Best for a hundred dollar deal? i am looking for something about this size; but are there any down sides to this thing?
the recharging seems to be excellent with thousands of recharges.

This should work great for camping and if you have a 120 watt solar panel you can even charge it while camping.
It might require you to buy an adapter to do so. As mentioned you have to buy one to battery charge it.
