Not too surprising, these cheap acemagic machines are filled with shady stuff
"After some investigating, I found that the Chrome default settings had been altered so that something called "naviwithus" was the actual search engine, and opening a new tab actually brought up something called "UpSearches" rather than Google. I did a quick Bing search and saw that UpSearches is flagged as a virus software. My repulsion at these settings turned to disgust when I found that attempting to change these defaults didn't do anything; the original defaults would just come back. I even uninstalled Google Chrome and reinstalled it, but the defaults remained. "

Haven't heard anything about their laptops but they are known for their mini PCs. Don't know much about their level of quality control or support though.
That $230 price point is very tempting for my kids for school work. But I fear the durability of it..... Anyone have a Acemagic laptop??

Everything is relative. My daily driver at work has an i5-6200U, CPU benchmark of 3000. This N95 is ~80% higher at 5465. So relative to the price of $230, it ain't horrible. Read one review that the case is aluminum instead of plastic, which is nice if true.
I bit.
For under $250 delivered including tax, seems great.
Youtube vids are positive, vast majority of reviews are positive, just needed an extra lappy for some word processing, data entry, simple non-gaming and online stuff.
Hope it works out!
