There are a ton of great resources for making pizza, but one of my personal favorites are the techniques at serious eats. They have especially good descriptions of making and handling dough.
As far as sauce, you can laugh if you want, but I use Don Pepino a lot. It's easy and widely available, and I like that it's simple and let's the basic tomato flavor shine through without being overly seasoned or too sweet like so many other premade sauces. It'll never be the star of the show, but if you have good crust and top to your liking it's enough.
As for dough, I make my own sometimes. The only trick I know is using type 00 flour.
