Zotac one is $479 now
https://www.newegg.com/zotac-gefo...6814500550

Use promo code ZIPIT for $50 off and payment mode ZIP

Zotac and MSI cards would also be similar price. However, they are most likely inferior to this gigabyte one.

Just like the previous zip pay promos this one seems to apply to a variety of gpus, I just tried with a couple others such as a $499.99 7800xt and a $430 6800 and it applied a 10% discount seemingly capped at $50. Considering a gigabyte 4070 has recently dropped to ~$530 without the obnoxious "zip pay" (which from what has been said in previous deals has a soft credit check and may be arbitrarily denied, as well as having some additional fees), I'd wait and see if you can use this promo on a gpu on sale as opposed to a full msrp 4070 (the price was recently dropped to $550 due to the release of the 7800xt). As a side note, gigabyte 4000 series gpus have had some issues with the pcb cracking, and some customers have struggled to get warranty support from them, so I'd avoid gigabyte if possible. Msi also has a couple of models of 4070 with exposed vrms/mosfets without thermal pads, which is extremely poor thermal design, so do your research if you go with msi.
As always, if you're just gaming amd will tend to be a much better value option, so if you're willing to do zip pay I'd recommend using this promo on an amd gpu.
Either way, the "zip pay" promos on gpus have occurred multiple times already and tend to last a fair amount of time, so I wouldn't stress about using this promo immediately and instead wait to see if you can use it on a good sale.

Compared to spending $550 on Amazon (after 6% back from credit card rewards) comes out to less than $17 saved, out the door including tax and Zip fees - and quicker delivery from Amazon.

For $50 saved I would have pulled the trigger, but I'd rather not do business with Newegg and Zip anyway. Probably be able to get a RTX 4070 for $500 (plus credit card points) on Prime Day.

Uhhh... source please? Personally, I'd rather not have a cracked PCB on my card because of crappy Gigabyte design/manufacturing.

This isn't heavy card by any means so it shouldn't crack. I've personal experience with Ventus cards and Zotac. Fans went dud on both of these and so did ASUS dual models.

EDIT: Not that gigabyte windforce model fans are great but they lasted longer. I had issues on these too. Mainly dusty environment gets the fan. However, same environment I didn't have issues with fans on any of the EVGA cards, TUF series or Strix. It's unfortunate that EVGA is out. They were the best except for the 3000 series where they downsized the xc3 cooler a lot to fit 2 slot requirements. I mean the 3090 xc3 was a 2 slot card and it's got vram on back of PCB Big Grin

Here's a video of some fellow tiering the cards out. not surprising Ventus came out at bottom Big Grin

Pretty sure they are required to collect sales tax from all 50 states now.

After reading/watching all sorts of reports about Gigabyte GPU PCBs cracking and them absolutely rejecting all RMAs for their defective designs, I would encourage people who may be thinking of buying their GPUs to reconsider.
