No, the noise canceling performed better on XM4 than the XM5. That's why Rtings scored the XM4 higher.

Anyone have experience getting used wireless headphones? How is the battery life on these used ones? I'm sure it varies, but does battery life decrease significantly over a year of use?

I've only gotten the refurbished ones since xm3, and they've all lasted so far. Actually, the ones I bought brand new (XM1 and XM2) are both gone now because my kids destroyed one and lost the other. XM3 and XM5 I have had lasted a while now. Having said that, I've never wore the battery down since the longest fligt I take is less than 10 hours to western Europe (from Chicago), and I always fully charge my XM5 before and after.

Yeah. Went with the 4s from the 3s when the 5s came out after lots of review reading. Fold, only better ANC for some situations, and value for price were the big factors
