Red is one of the few premier mfg's in the business using high quality materials and known for their longevity, Their boards typically inflate to 20psi vs the cheapie boards at 12-15psi. Higher number makes them very stiff with zero flex. Red's warranty is 5 years vs 1 year with a no name, here today and gone tomorrow Amazon board. That said, there are a few other high end mfg's at the same level of quality and performance like NRS, Starboard, Hala and a few others. The advantage Red is name recognition as they are one very few companies that have earned a solid rep for high quality. The 10'6" length has been in less popular as the market moves to 11' and longer.

Even at 20psi, it's not comparable to a hard board. I'd say go for cheap one on Amazon. Or carbon if you want to do racing
