The Camp Awn Shelter is an excellent price and value and I encourage anyone looking to buy it at this price. I bought this earlier in the week when it was 40% off and thought it was a good deal then at $120.

Put it up in the backyard this week to check it out. It's such as well thought out design, many little conveniences features, to make countless configurations. Plus it comes with stakes, attached ropes, two nice aluminum poles, and travel bag.

After buying 4 more just now (for gifts and an extra for me), I return to share the news with Slick Deals.

By the way, I just checked the price on Amazon for an MSR collapsible aluminum pole of the same size/quality and 1 pole is $79. So you can literally get this whole set for $10 less than the price of one pole.

These tents are 3 season tents and come with a water proof cover to keep you dry. As long as you don't plan to camp out in deep snow in the winter, they will work just fine in the Rockies. A tent is not going to keep you warm. That's what the sleeping bag is for.

Called you out on your BS statement. I wouldn't call that "triggered" but more refuting your baseless claims w/ zero proof or added value to the deal. On top of that, saying this is not same tier is North Face pretty much discredited your whole statement.

Thank you, OP. I had been looking for a car camping tent to replace my excellent but aging LL Bean Vector XL 4 person tent. At 10 years old, I've noticed the past two seasons some wets spots appearing on the floor and fly seams during heavy downpours.

Mountain Hardware has a solid reputation and the Bridger 4 looks like a nice design with a full coverage rainfly and a massive enclosed alcove, in addition to two vestibules and numerous storage pockets. Plus, it has the all-important interior height to allow putting on pants on while standing up - something one begins to appreciate after about age 50 nod. And a Google search indicates it has a real world online price of around $500 - $600, so $205 with tax and free shipping seems like a legitimate deal for a high quality tent. TU and repped.

What would be a good option for 40F+ bike packing for two?

This is the best tent deal I think I've ever seen. These tents aren't top of the line, but definitely worth $100.

I have the Bridger 4 tent. I got it on the last sale and paid almost $100 more for it. At under $200 it's a steal. I have taken it out a few times and it's been great. It got rained on the last 2 times with no issues. My only complaint would be that both doors aren't mesh, so it's hard to get a nice cross-breeze going without worrying about bugs if you have the rain fly on. The large vestibule is handy.

Not the answer you're going to want but you want short tent poles for bike packing. Big Agnes makes tents specifically for this. I'd try to find a sale on one of theirs.

The Mountain Hardwear Aspect 3 Tent is similar to the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL3 Tent which I backpacked with before. The Aspect 3 weighs 2 to 4 ounces more but that's negligible considering the Copper Spur HV UL3 retails for $580 which is same as retail price for Aspect 3 but now it's on sale for $200.

I also picked up the Camp Awn Shelter for its flexibility at camp site. Great deals, thank you OP.

grabbed a yawn patrol and awn shelter. I have a cheap synthetic mummy bag that is a bit restrictive and not as warm as I need. I've always wanted a nice down bag, but couldn't swing the price. Thanks OP!

You need to be looking at tent pole segment lengths for bike touring. Some smaller tents have long tent pole segment lengths that won't fit into your bags, for example the recent North Face Stormbreak that came up on Slickdeals is not bike touring friendly in my opinion considering the gear that I am now running. More considerations besides brand and model have to be made, and for that you will have to do some research. Good luck with your bike packing adventure.
