Full price at $3799.99.... now on sale $2849.99 with 25%. Apply 10% off with email sign up code, and ARMMPPS for additional 2% off. Should be $2513.69 prior to tax. Another additional 2% if you know where to look.

DONT FORGET to free upgrade the 4800Mhz to 5200MHz for the Ram.

FYI, this one is liquid Cryotec Cool. two weeks ago this same spec with Cryotec Cool would go for $2999.99, not $2849.99. Dont know much differences between Cryotec Cool vs regular liquid cool. But I believe this model is 240mm liquid cool with meshed side panel....... earlier model came with solid side panel, air cool or 120mm liquid cool.... I guess thats where a lot of bad review on overheating is from.

Got mine, it's all set up. Zero problems with XMP boosting to 5200. But I selected the $0 upgrade from the 4800 to 5200. I'm guessing some people missed that.

Super quiet, stays perfectly cool, and I'm quite happy with it.

But thanks to all of the computer experts with a big 15 years of experience who insisted that it was crap. I have 50 years in. Sometimes you don't feel like building one.

And my pcpartpicker with the worst, cheapest parts I could find that isn't even comparable was $3100.

Great deal at $600 less and all I had to do was open a box.

I'm starting to think that the "experts" just can't afford a machine like this.
Mine is being delivered tomorrow, was supposed to be here Tuesday. Not sure what happened. Did they use decent memory or is that fugly green stuff?

My 5200 32gb kit came with black covers... Pretty close to these:

It's black. Kingston ram. With XMP on, it runs at 5200.

Just spent the morning playing everything I have at 4k ultra with all of the knobs turned to 11. Even my 3080ti wouldn't do that.

Nice SSD as well. Kioxia gen 4 that runs at over 7000 read and over 6000 write. I thought it'd be a sled, but its pretty good.

Not much noise, not that much heat, although it gave off a little bit of "warm new computer smell" for a few minutes the first time I lit everything up to 100%.

Mine shipped early, then said it was going to be late, then it showed up ahead of time. I wasn't supposed to receive it until the 31st.

Good to know about the SSD. I did order a Samsung 2TB 990 Pro to put in to replace it though.

I wound up just keeping what it came with as the boot drive, performance is really good. Just threw the drive I had planned to replace it with, in the open slot.

I should say, I did do that until I just got it back to stock because I'm returning it. The hate that this PC gets may be over blown for some use cases, but if you want a gaming computer that can also perform to spec in demanding multi-threaded workloads... This isn't it, I'm talking 20-25% reduced performance to the 13900... So you can forget about comparing it to a 13900k that can be overclocked. I wanted to believe all the bad things were just people that love to talk crap but in this case it's real. Such a waste of time, and money. 1st and last Alienware... Also my last pre-built, I don't care if it's a couple hundred less than what you can build on your own... It's way less in build quality.

This is just my experience in a long winded rant, I hope everyone else that bought one loves their PC.

There's an open NVME slot that's gen 4. I put that cheapo 4tb nvme drive (fangxiang?) that was $129 in it. Not the most blazing fast, but it's not bad and a lot of game storage.

The NVME slot is really easy to reach, and is unobstructed. Not like some mobos that have it under the cpu cooler and the gpu like one system I built. There's also a 3.5" drive bay that's readily accessible. I didn't look at it to see if its prewired when I had it open yesterday, but I think one of the yt videos I watched showed it had both power and sata.

I also think I saw an accessory to convert the 3.5" bay to a pair of 2.5". I have an 8TB drive I'm going to stick in it for backups.

On the 13900k comments, the cpu will readily gobble up 300W and then some, and blow a 360mm radiator away if you give it the PD that it'll happily use. This has a 240mm, and that's perfectly fine for what the computer is intended for, which is hours of high end gaming. While you could surely get another 50+ watts into it with another motherboard, you're going to be pushing up against 100C thermals. Not advisable to do that for hours on end.

This isn't unique to Intel, or even the most recent generations. AMD has some parts that are hard to cool if you've got it pedal to the metal, and those want pretty high PD as well. Its the price we're paying for the very highest performance that's 1-3% faster than the other guy.

because the criticism was backed up by the closest thing to empirical data as we have out there.
But it isn't. It isn't close to empirical. It's your opinion, taken from an exaggerated criticism of a totally different PC, from the POV of a hypercritical enthusiast who rarely has anything good to say about any mass-production prebuilt.

The point of systems like this aren't to get optimal performance out of the components. It's not to be upgradeable. It's not to give you the top-of-the line build quality. It's to give the average consumer a better performance value than if they paid someone else to build them an enthusiast-level PC that has min-max features they don't care about and will never utilize.

In this case, the point is also to provide a greater level of performance than you could even build one for with the same budget. That was one of my main points. You never see enthusiasts actually compare the performance of a system like this to a DIY system of the same budget. THAT would be useful empirical data. Good luck finding such an example.

Thank Goodness for this. On the R12 it was under the video card which was a pain to swap!

Same for me on several other 600 series motherboards in systems I own. Which both have large air coolers. So I have to pull the cooler AND the graphics card to change the nvme drive. And the other nvme slot is underneath the other end of the video card if its a 3 fan card, which I have. So gpu has to come out for that one.

These two slots are to the right of the cpu, just under the ram slots, without anything at all in the way. Probably little to no increased latency where it is. I wish other mobo manufacturers who will remain nameless (*cough* MSI) would make theirs more accessible.

No motherboard heatsinks for the nvme, but also no clearance problems for any heatsink you want to use. I have the sabrent ones with the heat pipes on them. Drives stick at 34c unless I push them with a benchmark and then they'll go to 50c. And they look great.

Wow, that is a huge cooler, I ended up putting 2 Samsung 990 Pros / w Heatsinks in. On a side note this machine is a beast, its so much quieter than my R12 even running at max everything. Was a great purchase.

It is! I was impressed with the weight of it.

Enjoying mine too. Everything at 4k/ultra and its still snoozing. Most of the time it's under 25% cpu utilization and 50% gpu.

What a good thing that we didn't listen to the experts who don't own it and are sure that its awful?

I see that 4090 prices are all north of $1900 now, with the embargo to China going into place.

Fun trivia from my electric company. I've used an additional 3kWh of electricity per day since getting this machine set up. About $1.40 for ~6 hours daily use. Pretty efficient and better than I expected.

Probably that 1350W platinum rated supply. I saw that it's from the Dell server division and is probably made by Delta.
